Shirley at best comes across as extremely patronising and at worst as a nasty witch.

She never gets the tone of her critique right. She tries to treat it too much like a proper Latin/ballroom competition, as if it follows competiton rules etc. Rather than being a Saturday night entertainment show.

For all I criticise Anton and Motsi at times for their nonsense critiques, they recognise the show for what it is, entertainment, and Craig has always got the tone right by being the panto villain with his critiques as opposed to just being outright harsh and nasty.

I agree Darcey was the best judge ever, she did proper primary school two stars and a wish comments, even when she said something negative, it was done so nicely, with some good comments and didn't make you feel bad recieving it.

I'd love for Darcey to come back and replace Shirley.

Ffd, what was with the scores for Angela R? I accidentally switched on at that very point so had seen a 9 from Craig without watching the dance so I was expecting something amazing. Instead I thought it was fairly routine, some mistakes and just average

But god, despite Layton being an absolute ringer, I love watching them dance. Nikita is just outstanding in terms of teaching and choreographing - my fave pro I think.

But love love love Ellie - want her to win!

i know! everytime she does it i’m like “stop trying to make a ten from shirley happen, it’s NOT going to happen” - it’s so forced and she will never be len.

Shirley’s voice is really annoying and makes the comments seem even worse. It’s just so harsh and grating, reminds me of a bitchy schoolteacher.
