If Gio had said that about Jonathan then surely he wouldn’t have been allowed there on Saturday night over Amanda? With how inclusive strictly are being the last few years surely he would have been shown the door?
Also with how much support he got from the dead community and how well him and Rose got on it seems out of character to say something like that?
I think if this was the case there’s no way tptb would allow him to stay and Amanda to quit? They could have shipped Neil or Gorka in for her??
I’m no Gio fan at all it just doesn’t add up?

I’ve just skimmed the comments on Amanda’s post and Gio’s post: pretty much the ENTIRETY of the current Strictly cohort (celebs, pros, even Claudia & the Gilk) and countless former contestants (even Craig Kelly!) have posted in support of Amanda.

Gio just has a crying emoji from Michelle Visage, a comment from Lauren, and a comment from Nadiya.

WTF has gone on?!

Something that Michelle and Nadiya are not aware of.

IMO, Amanda would have had a happier Strictly experience had she been paired with JoJo or Graz. Both seem kinder, more patient, and more focused on their celebs enjoying the show. Also, non threatening (imagined or not) to her relationship.

I think her real life partner has had a lot to do with her decision, it must have been very hard to see her being so physically close with someone else. I just hope he wasn’t making home life so difficult that she quit to keep the peace.

I also feel that this may be why she didn’t seem joyful while dancing. She was technically very good, but could have been scared to really throw herself into it. In which case, it’s a real shame that her boyfriend couldn’t have encouraged her. TBH, I don’t have a great impression of him.

Anyway, none of us really know what happened, we will have to wait and see if the whole story comes out at some point.

If this is the case, I think that is dreadfully sad for her as she was talented and obviously wanted to do the show. It would also explain why she didn't thank Gio. Not that he was so awful to her but rather she was afraid to.

All very baffling. Seems hard to believe he could be quite that stupid, but it's a very odd and specific rumour to come from nowhere. If true, I can't understand why they'd prefer for her to withdraw than continue with another partner. If she was too upset to continue, even with someone else, it seems a bit ridiculous they had him skulking around the Clauditorium on Saturday if he's the cause of the whole problem.

I would imagine that whatever has gone off, the prime focus of the producers at the minute is keeping the Strictly bandwaggon rolling with the minimum amount of disruption and sorting out the rest in the off season. They don’t want this pulling any more focus than necessary.
