Hmm I'm now wondering if Rippon isn't starting to make a bid for the final? I can see her topping the leaderboard tomorrow, and wowing the judges again with several splits. I know we assumed she'd get bussed after Blackpool but she can skip samba and jive. A sedate but stylish charleston, a messy but competent salsa.. Kai has been very good at choreographing to her strengths.
If it's a 4 person final I could see her, Bobby, Nigel and Layton (why I am cursing myself with this thought?)
 
I'm sorry but I'm not terribly offended by Flangela/Grangela. I can see her technique is quite a lot better than her peers - yes, she's doing it slowly and has limitations but what she does do is more than competent even if you take her age out of the equation. I do think she'll be knocked out before the final though - a ploddy jive, Charleston and samba and that will be enough.

kai is clever enough to do it tbh. like you say, a very stylish charleston, wing it a bit on a fun salsa….. she could do it, especially if the other female celebs keep falling back. i still hope ellie will do it but i worry!

Same - I’d take her in the final over some of the other twats. Don’t think it’ll happen though.

I could see her bowing out in a two dance week (but is that the semi final?)

You’re bang on the money again. Her technique and matriculation to the footwork is second to none, taking age out the equation. I do think she’ll struggle when the pace speeds up and I’m intrigued what lifts he’s going to incorporate as I can’t see her doing a spread eagle any time soon but they are a great partnership and Kai has really drawn out the best in her, potentially because he’s mentally probably ages with her but whatever the reason is, it’s working so far

Yes, a la Ranvir - lovely waltz, then hideous jive that even Gio with his tits out in a sailor suit couldn't save.

I remember last year saying after Richie's QS that he might make the final so hopefully my Nostradamus-like prediction skill is the same (nothing against Rippers (bar GB News) but feel like I'll have had enough of her perma-splitting in a few weeks)
 
Just caught up on ITT.
I smiled my way all through the Layton and Nikita piece.
They are so full of life and I hope they smash it, again, tomorrow night.

I love Kai, and I think he is the perfect partner for Angela. I'm happy to see them stay for quite a while yet.
Lovely to see Ellie T on the panel.

I think Angela R has really stolen the thunder of the younger women.

The main problem, as I personally see it, is the younger females have sort of blended into one. Zara and Nikita were kind of interchangeable, and the former is just clinging on by the skin of her teeth. Ellie and Angela S are both very good dancers, but I don't see much conversation about them, and none of their dances, so far, rank the highest in popularity.

I do actually hope Amanda doesn't withdraw as I want a four person final, and I do want the celebs, whether I like them or not, to be able to properly complete their natural time on the show - whether they're out in week two, Blackpool, or make the final.

I think Nikita is picking up on some of Layton's mannerisms. He was rather 'jazz hands' tonight 😆 Also describing Layton as being "shook". I think they have a great spark together.

If it was anything to do with Gio they’d just parachute in Gorka or Neil, I think. It wouldn’t take them 5 seconds to learn the routine.
 
Dianne just uploaded a video on her YouTube channel where she said her dad is not well and is not coming to the Uk for Christmas as originally planned that’s why she was a bit off last week. Just goes to show you never know what someone is going through and shouldn’t be quick to judge.

I won’t be watching the live show tomorrow as my friend who is ill has took a turn for the worse.

I kept laughing at that, it sounded really funny and sweet Nikita saying - 'he was shook' 😁. I love them together.
I think Nikita is one of the top pros.
