I know this was covered on the other thread but Fleurs rap was cringe worthy, I feel like she's constantly like "when iiiii was on the show" "oh I remember when I was on the show" it feels like the Fleur East show. Tbh I think she has main character wannabe energy, she was the same in I'm a celeb.

Also this might be controversial but I don't think Layton is that great or Bobby. They are both over hyped. I don't think it's fair when they have dance experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wouldn't call it 'grandstanding.' Many other celebs and pros repost fan reactions/comments on their dances, and thank them for their messages. I don't see how his stories are any different. And none of the other same-sex partnerships have danced in gender-nonconforming clothes/makeup etc, so he is the first to do that. Even though progress has been made it is still important for LGBTQ+ kids to see representation/have role models to look up to. I'm happy for little Tommy.

My son loves watching Layton. Kids are open, warm and accepting so why can't adults be? I think it's great for all kids to see a proud gay black man who can wear makeup and heels, maybe dresses, dancing with a man. Not just the kids who need that representation, but all children so they might grow up not to be bigots.

Does Bobby have dance experience?

OMG I ♥ Layton and Nikita 😍

They seem to be so genuinely fond of each other - the Strictly sorting hat gets it wrong sometimes but it did a great job with them.

Don’t watch EE, but just switched over and caught the last min. Bobby in police car, less time EE more SCD?

Arrested for attempted murder, immediate punishment is having to dance with Dianne. 🤣

I believe Adam mentioned on his socials, that due to work, he's only had one day to learn the routine.

Flashbacks to Peter Andre’s jive. Here’s hoping for another “standing ovation”

My mind can not and will not be able to comprehend Neil ever being married to Katya 🤯🤯

On the basis of zero evidence other than my own opinion, when they were competing internationally, being married to a British passport holder may have significantly simplified entry into certain countries for someone with a Russian passport.
Pasha’s biography has a section on the difficulties he and Anya experienced getting into the US on Russian passports.

Amy Dowden and Sara Davies announced as a pairing on 'Celebrity Antiques Roadshow' (who knew that was a thing??)
They seem like a strange combination, I didn't realise they were close.
Dianne is also listed to be taking part.

They shared a pair of trousers. That’s a special kind of closeness.

This! I love Layton and am so happy he's paired with Nikita!

That whole thing lives in my head rent free 😂

It’s my Roman Empire! 😁

Very common in the dance world. 99% sure that it was the same for the Cutlers.

Yes, that’s my feeling too: I’m fairly certain South African passports aren’t universally welcomed either.

The number of cross-nationality married dance partnerships certainly is high. I’m sure some of them are genuine love matches (e.g. the Jordans), but many will be a different kind of ‘contract’.

Is that his way to get people to say ‘oh bless, I’ll give him a vote’

My response to this is why are you even doing the show if you don’t have any time to schedule in learning a dance a week until you get voted off .

How can he possibly learn a new routine in just one day? What a plum. Adam will not get my vote .

Karen saying that she's using what Eddie is good and 'natural' at. Given the 'Cha Cha', sounds like a cop out to me. Seems to think the judges were too harsh and the focus should be on entertaining.

Karen is an idiot - while she is correct it’s an entertainment show . The celebs are judged on their dancing technique therefore to not teach your celeb the correct technique is just crappy for the celeb.

I can't bring myself to care about Adam either way tbh. I had no idea who he was before Strictly and I'll probably forget him promptly after.

He's not the first or the last celebrity to have to learn a routine with very little training but honestly it does surprise me that Waterloo Rd is a BBC show and they're fine with him publicising that he gets no let up from them. Interesting that BBC gave Bobby and Nigel breaks and not him.

Was the same with Kym last year. I'd say the BBC are desperate to try and make Waterloo Road happen.

It spoke volumes of her approach. I get a slight feeling that she was hoping to phone it in by relying on Eddie's rhythm and entertainment factor to get through and was a little butthurt that she didn't get away with it.

Bobby doesn’t have dance experience but Nigel has arguably more than Layton. Angela R literally has a Strictly themed fitness DVD and Angels S did competitive Irish dancing. Would you rather watch 12 Les Dennis? The good ones make the first 6 weeks bearable 😂 it’s an entertainment show, every year there are a range of dance abilities/experience. It’s fine. They never win anyway! #dannymac 😭
