Yes I find the clinging on a bit OTT, unless he’s holding her up!

The thing is though, these days even the finalists don’t do all the dances … there’s 2 that stay undone. Hamza dropped the VW and the paso, Fleur lost foxtrot and tango Molly VW and Salsa, Helen tango and rhumba. Also deprived of Will’s tango and AT. Give Angela a Charleston and an AT and she could quit easilly nix the jive.

I’m just catching up on Saturdays show and something that I think the producers / show should try to reduce is the couples being as touchy feely all the time. For example, holding hands while leaving the dance floor, overly long hugs / caressing at the conclusion of the dance, and the non stop hugging / kissing / hand holding when they’re with Claudia. It seems soo overdone now, compared with previous years. These moments must intensify an already intense situation / relationship!
 
Agree that Angela R will be given all the right dances for her to get her to blackpool...I mean, how quick will a quickstep even be to that song?!

Very much looking forward to the jiving batman, interesting that Ellie and Vito have a VW to Encanto it seems a bit similar in vibe to last weeks foxtrot- hope they aren't going to typecast her with these themes and dances as that will quickly get boring and she has the potential to be very good

All depends on what happens on the night of course but I'd say Nikita, Zara, Adam and Jody will be vying for the dance off, potentially Eddie if he's outscored by Layton/Bobby?Angela x2/Ellie/Amanda and ends up in the dangerous middle zone
 
I found this exchange on the strictly instagram comments really odd. How is Gorka being 'stitched up' for doing his job- poor Nikita had to be partnered with somebody! Besides, he was literally a finalist last year.

Fans of pros always say this. They really have no cause for complaint unless their pro is consistently put with a dud or benched. Gorka has had 3 finals with 3 really good celebs so he's not been hard done by.

If anything, Gorka could do with proving that he can have a good run without an obvious contender, and it's also well overdue time for him to work with an older contestant. Doesn't mean a duffer necessarily but he's on his 7th outing with a partner and still never even had anyone over 40.

People never seem to grasp that it's not about the bloody pro!

I seem to remember Nikita saying on the launch show that she wanted to do the dances with more energy and sass - she actually seemed quite disappointed with the waltz. Her jive is not likely to be very good but at least she's doing what she wanted to do.

It's the first song he and dianne danced to and it was a jive aswell
