I don’t really think it is ‘news’ either. Katya & Nicola were a gay/straight same-sex pairing, Jayde & Karen are a straight/straight same-sex pairing. The fact that Gio & Richie are also a gay/straight same-sex pairing doesn’t feel like a ground-breaking first.

Jayde is also a talented dancer - I think Karen can up with some amazing stuff for them. I’m so excited about this pairing, they’re my absolute favourites at this stage.

This is from almost ten years ago, but even if she’s not quite as spritely a decade on she’s clearly got excellent timing and can put personality into the dances.

I had such a crush on Will Mellor back in his Casualty days and that came rushing back when he was onscreen last night! He’s been the celeb I’ve wanted to do Strictly for years so fingers crossed him and Nancy go far.

Jayde and Karen seem like they’re going to be such a laugh together and I could also see them in the final. I’m loving Ellie S and Nikita too and I’m interested to see his choreography for her. Fleur will be fab from Week 1 and hopefully Helen can get Gorka into the final again.

Richie is certainly an acquired taste and I think he is going to grate on me if he doesn’t dial the competition winner energy down which is a shame because I often root for Gio but I sense that he won’t mind an early exit this year!
 
Finally caught up. I'm SO happy Strictly is back! It's originally autumn!

I'm surprised by how much I like Jayde already, and she seemed really good from the tiny snippet in the group dance.

Hamza already has my whole heart. And hes with Jowita!!

Richie could literally not piss me off any more. I hate that he's with Gio.

The only pairing I guessed right beforehand was Ellie T and Johannes and IM SO HAPPY that came to fruition. They look SO GOOD together.

So excited for tonight!

He listed a lot of the shows he’s been in during his VT but I think they concentrated on 2 pints because they went back to the location where they filmed it for his meet up with his dance partner and he was in that show the longest

He did have a short lived music career. His most notable song was this Leo Sayer cover

Yes I think she's been with comedian Rich Wilson for five years. Not to be confused with actor Richard Wilson of I don't believe it fame :ROFLMAO:

Isn’t Jayde about 5’8/5’9? I thought Ellie T was the tallest female celebrity this year at 5’10?

I know it’s hard to gauge height here as she’s stood slightly behind Kaye and Jayde has flat shoes on but Kaye is 5’7 and she doesn’t look much taller than her. If she was 6’2 she’d be more in line with Tony or James height wise and she looks a few inches shorter than them. You can see Ellie T is the tallest girl there and is a few inches taller than Jayde

Ive not seen enough of her next to the others to guage to be fair, but all her bios put her at that height. Either way, she’s a big, well put together lady, and can see her dancing well with a female partner- I’m looking forward to it for sure.
