Nope it’s definitely not. It’s more to do with the fact he’s sleazy and cheated on his wife multiple times, then went on to publicly humiliate her. Also the fact that his choreo is shite and the judges have called him out multiple times for making it all about him and not the celeb, he just doesn’t care enough to change it. He hasn’t had one stand out dance the entire time he’s been on the show (9 seasons). Even some of the pros don’t like him due to his actions, including his “bestie” Keo who he no longer speaks to. He might be nice to look at but he’s definitely not a good guy 🤮

Artem isn’t American and they absolutely adore him, speaks volumes about his character compared to Gleb 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ah okay! Being honest I know tit all about Strictly let alone other versions 😁

Lol I only watch DWTS USA but I don’t bother with the rest. Nowhere near the same standard of dancing we get over here in terms of quality etc but it still has some really good dances every year. So many pros being wasted that I wish we had on strictly, Emma Slater was actually officially revealed as part of the new pro lineup of strictly 2013 but ended up pulling out at the last minute to join DWTS (she’s now divorcing the midget australian pro she married). They treat their pros like tit, the new season starts in September and they only find out 2/3 weeks before whether they are back or not. The entire celeb lineup is usually revealed before the pros are it’s awful 😭 They fired Artem & Sharna in 2019 and then brought them back the next year because people were absolutely fuming 😭
 
Gleb is fit but he's too overly reliant on sexy dances and doesn't put in enough effort when not given a ringer, end result being mediocre placements and dull dances that don't get enough from the celeb. Simple as that for me really, not interested in his private life.

I always wish we could have had the likes of Emma & Sharna back at the early 2010s rather than them hiring Janette & Karen. Both are BTF alum so were gettable for the show.

Yeah Sharna would have been perfect on strictly, she was involved in choreographing the christmas special a few years ago and it made me realize how much I wished we got her. A lot of the current pros wouldn’t cut it over here but there’s a few I would take (Daniella, Pasha, Witney & Alan).

Aw. Danny Mac, the best dancer never to win (in my opinion). Bless his heart, I still watch his and Otis' Samba, Charleston and American Smooth. That American Smooth to Misty Blue was robbed, it was so beautiful.

 
According to someone on DS Danny Mac was a megastar when he signed, rather than a handsome but bland-seeming nonentity from Hollyoaks.
I don't get why people are so obsessed with big names - mainly they are a big letdown. Remember Anastacia? I know she had health issues). Or even Michelle Visage? (she did a few good routines but to find out the doyenne of New York nightlife couldn't really vogue??)

The actual Voguing was ok. The dance got criticised because it was a bit self indulgent and there wasn’t many dance steps involved, it’s all mostly armography
 
But again even Michelle Visage is subjective, I didn't really know who she was. I knew she was vaguely something to do with drag race but thats it.

As for Danny Mac, lol he had had some small roles in the west end (Boq in wicked being the biggest I think) and his hollyoaks stint which is only watched by teenagers. No way was he a big star, in fact I think he had been out of hollyoaks for a while. He is a good looking guy but very vanilla.

My Wuz Robbed starts with Colin (will never forgive Len for that series) continues through Austin (will never forgive Len for that series) and pitches up at Danny.
I give honorary mentions to Gethin (should have been in the final) and Natalie Gumede.

Len had done such a good job of telling everyone how hard it was for a big butch Sportsman from Yorkshire to dance that the show dance made no difference. Darren said in his autobiography he was had won before a the show started.
