I'm behind the curve here and although I looked on the DS AT, I can't see anything about this on there. How do they think Rose's reputation is going to be tarnished by not going out with Gio?! I would have thought exactly the opposite! I do think the public might remember Rose and Gio's partnership a bit more than AJ and Kai, partly because they won but also because that CC dance did make a big impression. But I doubt many were holding their breath for a romance after we were told she was in a relationship with someone else and definitely friend-zoned Gio a lot of the time.

Sure, the hackneyed trope of ‘friends for life’ ends up being true in a few cases, but everyone who does it is there for the cheque and the publicity. And then it’s on to the next job, maybe with a bit of Strictly-related stuff every now and again.

So many rabid loons see it as some sort of spiritual cult whereby they all live in one giant big house that you can never leave and they all socialise exclusively with other ex-SCDers. 🙄

I don't know much about past celeb groups and how many of them have stayed friends for any length of time after the show, but I think maybe last year's had more of them than usual? There seem to be quite a few pairs or groups who still seem quite close (Some seem a tad too close to me - pandemic craziness? Or maybe I'm just anti-social :LOL:) - Sara and Aljaz and Katya going to support Adam at the Commonwealth Games, Tom and Amy, and Sara going to the wedding too. Tilly and Nikita went to dinner together a few months ago. Rose and Gio, against all odds, still seeming to be friends. Sara and her husband and sister, Aljaz and Janette and Aimee and Katya all going to Spain I think it was? for the weekend a few weeks ago, Aljaz having another sleepover at Sara's house the other day etc

Anyway, that could have influenced some of them to feel even more put out that AJ and Kai aren't in the 'friends for life' club when a fair few others seem to be.

So true. Johannes and John also seem to be friendly since. Even Dan Walker seems to have had more post SCD contact with Nadiya than Kai and AJ have had with each other. Apart from coincidentally being at the same award show literally the only contact was AJ and her mum and Kai and Giovanni (lol!) face- timed on New Years eve (and posted it on social media) and the shippers thought they were practically engaged!
 
I think it’s harder for the celebs to let go than the pro … for months’ they’ve been in a situation where they’ve had their own personal cheerleader/therapist talking them up and talking them down. For most of the pro’s in few weeks it will all start again … leaving last years celeb throwing peanuts at the tele as they talk up the newbie.

Yes, I remember seeing on the AT that a lot of them are fixated on the idea that something bad must have happened after New Year's to derail KJ, which I suppose is why they feel so justified in attacking Nadiya. Kai and AJ and her mum speaking on New Year's is apparently all the information they need to conclude that evil seductress Nadiya cast a love spell over Kai or some such crap.

I do sometimes wonder if Kai and AJ are still on some sort of friendly terms, like texting/video-chatting, and keep it all off social media because they're freaked out by the loony-tunes contingent! It would be hilariously ironic if they would hang out together and put it on social media if only the rabid shippers hadn't put them off it. 😂

Or maybe they're blissfully unaware of all the drama and simply couldn't give two hoots if they ever see or speak to each other ever again 😂 We may never know!

I was on another FB group which is run by someone who has convinced everyone on it she has inside information and that Gio and Rose are together. His mother and sister are members of this group so know that everyone thinks him and Rose are together.

Re the rumour about Gio dating one of his dancers, she was seen arriving with Gio and Anton when all the other dancers were already at the theatre. Gio posted pics from the Alexander Hotel and six days later she posts pics from same hotel. Apparently this is how Gio announces his new relationships, he did the same with Maura and Ashley.

Funnily enough after she posted the pics on Friday Gio joined the other FB group on Saturday. I assume his mother must have told him about the abuse he was getting. Since he joined it's turned into a Gio love fest.

The group I was on FB say she has definitely split up with him. Not sure when this happened though but it is coming from some people in the deaf community so I believe it.

That's new levels of icky inappropriateness - gossiping re someone's sex lives when their Mum and sister are potentially reading it.
Have to say, while the reasoning for there being this new relationship/fling seems tenuous, dating a dancer makes much more sense from what we know publicly re Giovanni. He has a very definite 'type' from his dating history and Rose definitely isn't it on a physical or intellectual level.

His Mum and Sister being on it is very weird. The dancer is question is definitely Gio's type.

The only thing that would make me vaguely question it is the potential awkwardness of dating someone you employed/work with (though I guess he's no longer working with her) when he could date any one of his dental nurses on insta (oh, I see he's just followed Miss Newcastle 2019! :ROFLMAO:). But it could well have been only a short fling at the end of the tour, or else he recommended the hotel to her/passed on a freebie.
I can't believe Gio himself would join a FB group dedicated to his 'relationship' with Rose! so many layers of parasocial inappropriateness!

I think we are well beyond the bounds of inappropriateness parasocial or otherwise. Perhaps Rose has joined also, under an alias - she seems to be the only one of the interested parties not in on the fun and horror!
