Denise Lewis came second away back in series 2 :) She's hardly aged at all since then 😁

Yes Denise Lewis was a contestant in Series 2 in 2004 and was partnered with Ian Waite. They were runners up to Jill Halfpenny

Denise was fab, though I was a massive Jill fan so I was happy with the result.

The final that year was amazing: the Blackpool setting, Julian carrying Erin in whilst dressed as Richard Gere - ah, those were the days! 🤩

These people are actually unwell.

I find showmances annoying and cringey but when you think about it, the show really does manipulate people - especially those who are emotionally stunted or just generally batshit. I mean how tf could anyone think Molly and How’s Trish AJ were a thing and still haven’t let it go? In 2022?

The FB group for Rose & Gio makes the shippers on DS look perfectly normal.

I had a look there and see that one of the groups seems to be imploding in a war between shippers and non-believers, based on the umpteenth analysis of Gio's insta follows! I am happy that these people have found each other and have people to chat to, but I worry what will happen when the inevitable occurs and he goes public with a new lady..

[I shouldn't laugh but those groups have an extremely strong Boomer vibe and half the rows seem to start because some members don't understand what insta stories are, or can't find an earlier comment thread in the group. LadyLav is well out of it..!]
 
Interesting comment on the DS rumours thread - comedian Jayde Adams has just announced she's cancelled her autumn/winter tour because of 'filming commitments' (but she also says it's something she's very very excited about)

Add to that her making no secret in the past of wanting to go on Strictly, and her being an ITT regular....

She was recently cast in the new take that film, it may be that. Or could be Scd!

When he went public with Maura there were a fair few snarky comments about her from the Ranvanni shippers :LOL: the shippers that were left anyway, after a lot of them had declared him to be a misogynistic pig for that Heat magazine interview he did where he talked about how he prefers blondes, and he can have sex 100 times a week, and all that other guff he said in that interview 🥴:ROFLMAO:
 
I’m glad I’m oblivious to the fb shippers cos the DS mob are bad enough. It’s so obvious that they’re desperate for Gio to be with Rose cos they love the idea of him being with ‘the girl next door’ type. Not that Rose isn’t beautiful btw but she’s far removed from his usual type.

On another note, I can’t believe we’re only 2 months away from the new series! I hope Jowita gets a partner and I really want Nadiya to get a ringer.

Amen to that! I'd far rather see Jowita & Lauren get partners. Those two seem like potential audience favourites so it makes sense to partner them.

I still see Amy getting a partner but at this rate, I can't quite see why Dianne should get one over Jowita & Lauren. Luba, Gorka & Nadiya all got benched after less early exits than Dianne has had and I'd say they are all more dynamic dancers than she is. Sorry.
