Gino is a twit and a really irritating one. There’s already one icky sleazy slimy Italian we don’t need two. Do think it’s unlikely given his ITV ties. I don’t see him on any other channel group. Personally I think Fred signing up for a full series is more likely and preferable. He seems a lot more likeable and isn’t always tied to itv. I feel Gino wouldn’t really take it seriously and would probably just be an attention seeker.

I can't bloody stand that slimy tosser Gino.

As others have said. I reckon Owain is a cert. And DS are convinced of George Webster (who I have mixed feelings about).

I want to migrate from Strictly DS. What's the protocol on spoilers here? I avoid them as I like to watch the Sunday show without knowing who's in the DO. Is the forum best avoided until after the Sunday show has aired?

Spoilers are posted in a spoiler tag on here, but some of the time it can be implied who was voted out so it depends.

We do put things in spoilers but you can still see how many people like the post which is sometimes a giveaway. About 40 people loved the spoiler post for Tom's elimination, that elimination was crystal clear.

Yes, got mixed feelings about George as well. On the one hand, representation is good and he could inspire kids with DS. On the other hand, a contestant with a mental disability is a totally different ballgame to someone with a physical disability and I hope they would get a pro to agree to having him before they pair everyone up rather than just springing him on any random pro who may not be able to handle the challenge.

He seems lovely and I am sure the PTB would love to have him but as you say, it would be a big challenge for both George and his pro. What I would dread most is Tess doing her “look at his ickle face” routine.

I think with George if he were to give strictly a go it might be better to introduce him via children in need/Xmas special first to see how it goes. George seemed super sweet when he was interviewed on my local news.

I know strictly (and the bbc) are very hot on representation at the moment and whilst it is important that everyone is able to be represented. I do think for a show like strictly there is a limit as to what is sensible and within the pros capabilities as teachers.

I think we might see someone with a visual impairment soon. I can’t think of anyone other than that scouse comedian (can’t remember his name but has been on the panel shows. Presented a bafta the other night). That would be an interesting challenge for someone (just not Giovanni)

Hmmm Tess's faux-sympathy voice went to embarrassingly cringey heights this series 😖
The issue with having celebs with any type of disability is Strictly haven't quite mastered the balance between being extremely patronising (aren't they great for taking part, pat on head) & overly blasé (they're just like everyone else, ssh we don't mention the limits to their ability)... It's hard to find that balance tbh but Tess Daly is definitely not the woman for the job

Or they make them jump off tables and pretend they haven’t broken them almost beyond repair.

Chris McCausland is the comedian.who presented the award

I'm surprised AJ and Curtis have picked loneliness as the mental health awareness week topic to cover... have they ever been more than 6 feet apart from each other? :ROFLMAO:

I know you were trying to make a joke at them but you do know you can have loads of people around you, be they strangers, friends or family and still feel lonely. Loneliness isn’t just about being physically alone

Yes of course. I don't find their take on it very compelling though. Of course my impression may be wrong and they may be sincere, but with the clip being so overproduced it just came off as a weirdly depressing ad for wherever they were eating. If they'd discussed on their podcast or something I probably wouldn't have made the joke.

A few on the DS thread are insisting that Rose has dumped her bf (maybe she has but there's no proof at all..) and somehow this would be connected to Gio's cryptic story there 'Don't get bitter, just get better'. LadyLav has lost control and isn't even bothering to reply to the shippers now.

I would chortle so much if Rose announced her engagement to her bf.
