I didn’t know that, what did he do? I only really know about his dance career/musical theatre.

According to this he left school before sixth form, so I’m not sure how he could be deemed an ‘academic high flyer’ or a potential candidate for ‘a top university’ on the basis of GCSEs alone 🤷‍♀️

I don't live in England but I'm pretty sure people do A levels and not gcses in sixth form. He was head boy in his school and could have gone to a top university, that's what a high flyer means. There are special courses that attract 'top flight' students who get extra funding. He is highly respected in the dance world by people who know actually know something about dance.
I guess tearing people down is much more fun than the facts. Happy trolling.

No, he left before sixth form so he never did A Levels.

Who is ‘tearing people down’? I’m querying your curious assertion that someone whose highest level of academic qualifications is GCSEs is an ‘academic high flyer’ who was a candidate for ‘a top university’.

If he didn’t attend sixth form or the college equivalent then it’s very unlikely that a ‘top university’ would consider him, head boy or not.

Which are the the ‘special courses that attract 'top flight' students who get extra funding’ that you mention, and which of these was Kevin eligible for?

He is indeed well-regarded in the dance world; that’s not in question. I’m just interested to learn more about the special university courses at prestigious institutions that would be open to someone who left school after their GCSEs.

For someone keen to establish ‘facts’, you haven’t actually provided anything in the way of factual support for your claims.

I’m not really sure anyone is trolling? That’s quite something to chuck around. He maybe was cracking at school, he maybe wasn’t. He’s obviously a good dancer and well-respected in his field. You absolutely do get ‘extra-funding’ for some academically excellent students, but you need A levels even if you are Head Boy (my sister went to Oxford- I know a bit about entry to elite unis in England and it does take more than being Head Boy I’m afraid, that’s the facts).
 
So far we know that Hamza is doing salsa/american smooth, molly is doing paso/quickstep, ellie is doing waltz/charleston and helen is doing quickstep. No idea about the rest but those are a solid selection of dances and really varied too. Also the feeling good pro number from the launch show and the carnival dance from week 1 are two of the pro dances so far, looking forward to seeing videos of that.

Interesting. I imagine Helen will do her CC? And Fleur surely samba and CC (or AT?). Tyler's apparently have lifts so probably Charleston and maybe salsa?

I see Gio's tour opens tonight - wonder if Jowita will go if she is off tonight. He's now up to 977k followers, slowed down, but has put on 100k in a week!

Am sure that the dances were announced earlier than this last year. Giving the details may have driven a few more ticket sales, who knows their strategy. They will be doing their dress rehearsals over the next couple of days.

Would love to see Helen's couples choice on the agenda, but can you imagine Kai in Gorka's outfit. :eek: 🤣 He's far too 'bulky' and hefty, it would be a right laugh though. Gorka please come back!

As for Gio and his fake followers, he should be ashamed of himself thinking he is that popular.
 
I think Helen might do her jive with Kai - but would be interesting to see Kai do Gorka so to speak. Just love how glamorous Luba always looks. Think I’m getting a girl crush on Jowita.

Ah Gio and his 100k new Italian followers - still making me laugh he did that post. I do feel a bit bad for his stylist - I think on someone else the double breasted classic sugar daddy look would look fine - he’s just 20 something years too young. For a male stylist Ilaria Urbinati is just one of the best.
