He's not going the right way about wanting to become a strictly contestant by doing this.
To be fair he wasn't taking a 'swipe' at Oti he said she was brilliant but she doesn't have any skating background.
The judges on Strictly and DOI are different because all the judges on strictly have dancing backgrounds whereas its only torvill and dean on the DOI panel. It would actually be good for one of the judges to be a former contestant maybe but not Jake!!!
Personally I did think it was an odd choice for Oti be a judge on DOI but I think it was due to the fact she has be come more of an itv package with Romeo & Duet and The Masked Dancer.

Though the DOI judging panel is tit. How Ashley Banjo is on his 6th year there I have no idea (most other non skating judges do 2 series before being replaced) and Jayne despite her credentials always looks so out of her depth. The show in general has some weird fixation about T&D whose glory days were almost 4 decades ago.
After a few years of giving it an extra chance, I'm not even watching it this year.

I'm actually surprised the show is still going when the past few years there have been had to be so many drop outs due to injury; I think ITV should just cut their losses and think of a new show instead. I don't know what they were expecting Oti to bring either; the show last year was the worst rated I believe.

The way the Scum and the Daily Heil keep mentioning Hamza is so distasteful, he's clearly not bothered at all. The rags have been desperate to tarnish him and I suspect given their history it's race related.

I don't think The Scum have it in for Hamza they write about anyone and anything regardless of ethnicity. When you read the article they never say anything about him in a nasty tone it's more making him out to be heartbroken lad thinking him and Jowita were going to get together once the series finished. You have to read any article written from a tabloid with a pinch of salt. In a weird way it can actually benefit from him as all the middle ages lovies who watched him on strictly will have more affection for him.
I mean there were people on this thread saying they thought there was something between them during the series. I personally never thought there was but I don't think its completely off the mark that maybe Hamza did have more than purely friendship affection towards Jowita and maybe was surprised as everyone else when the news broke that her and Gio were dating.
