I honestly thought that Jayde would be part of the tour … I’m sure she was supposed to be non-finalist the fun-time celeb rather than the dance floor misery memoir.

based on what i knew of her (which was admittedly very little!) and how she was in the launch show, i honestly thought the same!

her reactions on twitter seem to imply there was some big conspiracy against her - in that people were “fatphobic” to her but not hamza, that people are saying helen is brave but not saying that, she, jayde, is also brave. she has an incredible everyone is against me mentality that her followers only seem to validate.

all of this means she just ignores the key point: that everyone else (even will) was just more likeable than her.

I don’t see Jaydes career benefiting from strictly especially after her behaviour on twitter. I really think she was never told no growing up and constantly had a stream of people in her life telling her how wonderful and amazing she is. Bet you anything they were telling her how the judges were just big meanies.

I think the ones benefiting the most will probably be Hamza/Tyler/Molly and maybe Ellie T. (Kym and Helen already have very steady work) I’m not sure about Fleur maybe she’ll get a bit more work out of this but there’s others who’ll get more from it.

Tyler is already getting work post Strictly. He just interviewed Alicia Keys for Lorraine.

J**de reminds me of a high school friend who too thought that the entire world was against them. They would get stroppy and even violent if someone criticised them (including towards me), they would do the same thing for sure if they were in the spotlight. I can only imagine what Karen may have got if she tried to criticise her technique in a rehearsal and maybe that's why every performance was so basic and underbaked.

I thought Matt & Kym were going to be up their own arses, and that Jayde & Will were going to bring the fun times.

Poor Matt. Nearly everyone was saying what an unbearable tosser he was going to be and he turned out to be such a sweet soul. And yes, I'd honestly say Kym was the least sure of her abilities and she was a fab dancer.

I wonder what the show was getting at when they booked her. They already had Ellie Taylor as a female comedian around the same age and she is far more likeable so Karen's partner was really surplus to requirements from Day 1.

Unless they were seriously desperate to find a female celeb willing to do a same-sex partnership, though doubt that, there has to have been other options.

Jayde was actually the only competitor I couldn't see any positives in, and I was not at all sorry to see her leave.
