I feel like Ore was the first big cryer and that opened the floodgates and now they’re all at it and the ones who don’t want to cry and over share feel obliged to, are probably pushed to. It’s a choice from the producers I imagine because they feel it makes it real but it’s the opposite for us watching from home. It’s cringe and I wish they didn’t do it. I stopped watching X factor cos of the formula sob story. Just want a entertaining and optimistic couple of hours of a Saturday night. I have really enjoyed watching Fleur and Molly and think they’re both great examples of getting on with it and embracing the show and giving it their all. I think they are probably the first two to be out on Saturday but am really glad they got to the final.
I agree.

I was a late starter in watching X Factor, and did enjoy it for some years, but the sad stories being brought in to every other performance, put me off it.
For me, with Strictly, I want dancing and sparkle. That's it really. A bit of escapism.

Delighted for Fleur and Molly. I agree, neither of them is likely to be lifting the glitterball, but I feel they both handled being in the dance off regularly, with style, and I am happy that they both got to the final.

Luckily nobody goes out anymore! I hated it when someone got eliminated halfway through the final and didn't get to do their final dance.

I agree that Fleur and Molly have just sucked it up - I am sure both must be wondering why the public doesn't like them that much but they've decided to make the most of being there and having fun with their partner. I'm hoping both their showdances will be good - I can already see Carlos getting his life to Prince, and while I fear wafting listening to Fleur's song I am hoping that the promised AT/Paso elements will at least mean topless writhing.

I do kind of get what Jayde’s saying (though she is a tosser). Helen is constantly being negated by being defined by what her dick of an ex did to her. Yet she is the woman who's done all these amazing things - too much power is still being given to that man by spinning the confidence narrative.

It was a little bit what Angelica Bell said on ITT last night … but she explained and expressed it so much better and less confrontationally.

It’s been nice for me to see Helen get more confidence and focus her energy and time into strictly ready to move forward with her life after it and this crappy year, so not really about the ex more about just feeling good about herself for her.

There is a lot of the DM style ‘showing him what he’s missing narrative’ which I do find tiresome.

Just properly catching up with everything (damn work getting in the way of Important strictly stuff)
Like others have said...I can sort of see what Jayde was trying to say about Helen, but she could have went about it better( which applies to a few things Jaydes done)

I know people aren't fans of the whole j word narrative for Helen, but I one have enjoyed seeing it...given that at the start she said she was uncomfortable just being close to Gorka(hun, c'mon) to climbing on his back and doing the splits (dream come true tbf)
Like, go girl! But yeah, it doesn't always have to relate back to her ex and rubbing his face in it...let her have this moment purely for herself!

Anyway...
Happy Thursday!

She wrote it in the nastiest way possible, which is what annoys me. You can make the point about Helen being amazing without being a witch about it.
Tbf, anything she's commented about anybody left in the competition has had an edge to it!
She really can't hide the bitterness that she's been eliminated!
I've honestly been so disappointed...I used to really like her and was soo excited when she announced, but all she's done is put me right off her! She's going to be in her fladhdance leotard in the final isnt she? 🙄

I'm still holding out hope that she won't appear in the final. #fuckoffwithyourleotardedfauxbodypositivityJayde

She’s not appeared in any of the online content so far, but probably Karen is just hiding from her.
I’m split between she’ll want her final moment in the spotlight in the group dance and her being fuming that she has to be in the ‘evictees’ (thanks Ellie T 🤣) dance rather than in what she sees as her rightful place lifting the glitterball as the best and most beloved dancer to ever grace the show.
