I think it's wild that people get so het up about whoever gets booted out in the dance to the point of rage on social media and sending complaints to offcom.

U love strictly, but it's an entertainment show! My favourite rarely wins. I could probably count on one hand how many times the person I've rooted for wins but I don't get my knickers in a twist about it. It's a celebrity dancing show they do for a bit of a personal challenge or to raise their profile. It's not the xfactor where their future careers are on the line or the world cup where they commit their lives to training and playing the sport. To be very gen z about it; it's not that deep.Just enjoy the sequins and scatter chassis whatever that means and play pundit for a few hours. All good fun!

Yeah I agree, I'd like to see CC binned now. Certainly don't want to see it cropping up in the semi final, let alone the final.

Do we know that Hamza is doing his CC in the final? I really hope he goes for a ballroom otherwise - two CCs in the final, 3 if Fleur does hers is just ridiculous really.
I really hope Fleur doesn't do her CC. It wouldn't be same without the backing dancers. I'd love to see the AT and samba again.

Arduino and Ash-leigh are doing Gorka's showdance choreo which is promising. Keep Gilkison out!

Perhaps they need to tighten up how the judges judge! There seems to be a massive discrepancy in how they judge. I'm not always a fan of how Craig puts his critique across but he definitely is consistent and points out why he marks how he does whereas Anton just seems to make a lot of noise and then gives a 10 anyway!

If it was down to the public it would definitely be based on personality and likeability and not dancing ....and Molly and Fleur would be long gone by now, and imo both deserve to be in the final although imo neither will win!
BiB - I definitely think there’s room for that. Craig is still the most honest and fair judge for me and I think some of the couples take on board his critique and scores more because the other three are off the scale sometimes.

Next year I hope that Shirley goes to judge DWTS in America, Craig stays and is how he always is, Motsi stays and is like she was this year (with less extreme scores) and Anton stays and is more like he was last year in terms of critique, he stops talking about his previous dance partners and drops the giddiness over an NTA award

Wild idea but do you think voting would be different if all the celebs did the same dance? so one week they all do their charleston, then the next week the sambas etc etc?
It would be much easier to judge and probably fairer if they did it like this. Or how they used to where you had a choice between a latin and a ballroom. I don't know why they stopped that tbh.

I think CC should be scrapped full stop. I loved Rosie and Gio's but apart from that cant remember any others as most of them are crap. The problem with 'the judges judging the DO on the best dance' is that during the show they dont always give the best dance the most points! sometimes one celeb who has danced an average dance gets more points than another celeb who has danced fabulous so THATS the first thing that needs to be sorted the random bloody scoring!
I agree. If they have to have a different dance, get them to choose from actual dances. If they get to the final they can all go freestyle. Will made no mistakes in a drunken dad dance.

Also be easier to see who danced it better.

Maybe but tbh I think me and 98% of the rest of the audience would be bored to death if we had to sit through a week one length episode where it’s just the waltz.
Yep I see your point but I get bored to death watching it anyway :ROFLMAO:

It would definitely be fairer to judge and easier for the public to see who is the better dancer… but I think it would be so boring. I love a paso but watching three the other night was a bit much, having 12 of the same dance in one show would be repetitive to say the least!

Yeah they should at least have half doing the same ballroom dance and half doing the same latin dance. I remember it did mean the first couple of shows were a bit boring though when half of them were doing a waltz 😅
But it's a waste of the more technically difficult dances like the samba or the AT to give them so early on. Maybe that's why there haven't been so many stand out performances lately. It used to be that a few weeks down the line of training and improving when a couple did the first AT or even the first Charleston it was a lot more of an exciting, big moment and they were more likely to produce a really good, memorable dance.

Its been a while since I watched but I am pretty sure on the German version it used to be two dances each week that got split between the couples and then there was also a part where the Jury would explain „the move“ of each dance that they really looked out for.
Yes, having multiple Waltzes was a bit boring but it was so much more educational, easy to compare the couples and imo more fair.

I think dance order for couples is something they should definitely look at. They really fucked up with Tyler - if he'd had a traditional ballroom and basic Latin early on rather than production choosing to burn through crowdpleasers, he would have been able to get the technique down. IMO dance styles should be evenly spaced out with the simpler ones first - a waltz before a VW, for example.

And I want them to bring back the -athons but that's really only for the hilarious chaos that ensues.

Agree and I'd rather be seeing Tyler in the final than Helen tbh
