I know that Will isn't popular on this forum, but it must be gutting to be in the dance off for the first time, against another dancer who's been there regularly, watch them mess up and then hear 2 judges uses the exact same phrase to save them.

And to be honest, Anton sounded like the only one who judged the dance off. The rest of them sounded like they were taking the series into account, particularly Motsi.

I'm falling out of love with strictly. Hopefully next year is better.

I really disliked Will's attitude throughout the competition, hated his CC dance and couldn't wait for him to be eliminated. But on the night, though it pains me to say it, in the DO he was better. Lighter on his feet. Fleur was hunched over, stomped her way through and made a mistake.
I hate to say it but on that dance alone imo they made the wrong decision.

Will - Paso - Nancy looked amazing and the music was great. I'm glad the judges finally marked Will sensibly, I was raging about his Waltz, Charleston and Foxtrot inexplicably being at/near the top of the leaderboard.

Fleur - Paso - I was cringing I'm afraid. The song, big no, and sorry Vito, I love you, but yikes at the choreography. Wtf was all that awkward dragging her around by her skirt? As others have already said, it looked like he was wrestling with a stubborn doona cover. Even Will's was better. I wish we could have seen how Fleur would have done with a traditional Paso.

Helen - Waltz - Pretty good, but a bit forgettable, as usual from her. I liked it better than her VW and AS though.

Molly - AS - I really wanted to love it, but also forgettable unfortunately. I think it must be a confidence thing, sadly, because her Foxtrot and Waltz were way better. Also, the choreography was bland.

Hamza - Waltz - Lovely. 🥰

Will - Couple's Choice - Poor Nancy is all I'll say about that.

Fleur - Charleston - Didn't totally love it, some of the choreography was a bit boring, and it was a weird song for a Charleston, but the lifts were fun. Not quite as good as Hamza's but still good. Aww, Vito's happy little face, and him singing along was precious!

Molly - Paso - I don't know whether it was because I watched it while sleep deprived, but I thought it was awful. I thought she looked like she'd totally given up and just wanted to go home and wasn't really putting in any effort. Her acting was bad, she looked unsteady and unsure and her shoulders were hunchy and arms messy. Was surprised most people seemed to like it.

Hamza - Charleston - Loved the lifts, and I'm glad he brought it with the necessary energy - a couple of his dances have been lacking in that department.

Helen - Argentine Tango - As usual, fine but just not quite as good as it could be. It's a shame she always seems to look better in the rehearsal footage than the performance. Song was awful and ill-fitting. She did decently, considering.

So glad Will's finally shuffled off, just wish it had been last week instead of Kym. Even though I didn't really like either of her dances tonight, I'm really glad Molly made it to the final without a dance off. Hopefully that'll restore her confidence a bit and she'll really smash her performances next week. So glad her and Fleur both made it to the final, I'd resigned myself to Will being guaranteed a place there even though he hasn't really had a good dance since week 1. Had a big smile on my face through both Hamza's dances. I think he's back on track to win, though I wouldn't be too mad if Helen manages it.

Based on the dance off, Will should have stayed. I really disliked Fleurs charleston as per my recap it wasn't joyous and fun, she was intense and trying too hard .

Will and Nancy's goodbye dance was ick. I felt I was intrusively watching a very intimate moment..so got my 🍿out to see what happened next.

Will watch their interview on ITT today, 9pm on a Monday night scheduling? nah not for me.

I do think when you’ve spent weeks together all day, everyday pretty much, dancing very closely together you develop quite an intense intimacy with each other that isn’t necessarily sexual/romantic. I remember by the final last year Rose was basically straddling Gio when they were celebrating and they were bawling all over each other, John and Johannes weren’t far behind but there was nothing untoward going on. I agree it does look a lot watching from home though.

This is fair, honestly. I love fleur and Vito but they danced it better in the main show.

The problem though is that Fleur's routine was far more complex. I wasn't a massive fan of that choreo (as with most Charlestons this series) but even if she made a mistake in one of the dismounts, she was still doing far more than Will was and I don't think they can really be directly compared, one of the problems with CC. Anyway, his fans are all over Twitter etc screaming fix and of course the Daily Mail has a story about it ('Strictly Fans FUMING..') :cautious:

These people need to get not just one grip, but a whole bag of them.

Seeing a depressing amount of comments about The Woke Agenda and how poor Will, possibly the most privileged you can be as a white male, is being discriminated against. I despair!
IT’s so depressing. Fleur definitely made mistakes in her dance off and if the Judges did what they were meant to do and base it on that dance alone, Will should have gone through. But that is nothing to do with Fleur!

Obviously on a completely different level but I’m struggling with the comments too that the Judges - and in particular Shirley - favour Fleur and they’ve put their favourite through. I don’t think she’s ever favoured Fleur, in fact there were weeks where she was pretty harsh on her in between drooling over and over marking some of the men.

I coped with ITT. I'm fine 😁.
I think the intensity of it all got to Nancy.

And they didn't have the usual time in between to recover.
Usually they would have Sunday and I presume most of Monday before ITT.

I was afraid the interview might break Rylan 😁 but not in the least. 😁 Phew.

If they’d been chucked on straight after a live results show I would understand it but they still had 24 hours between filming and ITT. There must be a lot of disappointments in the dance world and I did expect a bit more from Nancy as the pro

Fleur seemed upset when her and Vito were announced for the dance off so maybe that affected her performance. Regardless, no one said that a dance off performance had to be 1000% perfect. Like Anton once said, you just have to do enough, which Fleur did.
It is the public's fault that Will was in the dance off. If they had voted more for him, he might have escaped the dance off. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Exactly. Those are the rules. His two dances in the show were the worst, so the judges and the voters put him in the dance off. The voters before have saved him over more deserved dancers and have put Fleur in the DO when others deserved to be there.

I really like Nancy, but I found her reaction last night quite uncomfortable to watch as she just seemed so devastated and was saying ‘sorry I didn’t get you to the final’ or similar, when there are obviously a million other factors. I quite liked several of their dances but Will’s attitude just really didn’t warm me to them at all- he didn’t seem like he was having any fun and was just laser focussed on the win.

Contrast with Molly who had endless dance offs and just smiled with a bit of steel and moved on with the next week having fun with Carlos and the others (aside from when she channeled the rage of a thousand suns into that awesome paso).

I feel for Will and Nancy and their supporters as it’s always rubbish getting close but no cigar, but they had a great run.

Oh I hope Fleur doesn't win it I dont care if she can dance I cant stand the woman.
I don’t dislike Fleur but I don’t connect with her and for the most part, I don’t love her dancing.

Similarly to my other post about Hamza, it’s fine for people to dislike Fleur (I’m not talking about racist or coded comments obviously) or any of the celebs. No one’s obliged to like or vote for them. It’s funny though cos a lot of people get on their high horse when it’s their fave but ignore or engage in worse comments about others. Not trying to police btw, I don’t actually care what anyone says (within reason), it’s just something I’ve noticed.

Yes it is gutting but she was so ott it was ridiculous. She was sobbing away as if she'd been fired live on air. She got to the Semi Final, she'll do a group dance in the final and will probably be back next year. Will will get another job on a Soap or something. That is a good contrast to Molly, who is so young and had been in so many undeserved DO's. Will deserved to be in the DO and over the course of the show didn't deserve to be in the final.

Jings we're really rewriting through rules now arent we!!! They make a big thing about saying "based on the dance off alone" So surely if someone makes a mistake and the other dancer doesn't that should have am effect. Anton scored them the same for dance and used this as his reason for voting for Will.

And yes. Will didn't get enough support from.the public. Maybe if the show had been on its usual Saturday,, he would have picked up more voters who are busy on a Sunday.

And likewise, Fleur shouldn't bother turning up for the final cos she's spent half the series in the dance off and obviously doesn't have a fan base - outwith this forum

I would prefer if we were just honest - Fleur mucked up but the judges wanted her in the final - hence why they voted her through.

As I said before - I'm still raging about Austin Healy who ended up in a similar situation.
