Let’s remember that Tilly’s CC got 40 last year (I know Cynthia was on the panel instead of Craig but it was an across-the-board WTF for me)

I was of the same opinion, however Tilly and Nikita danced it on the arena tour, it changed my mind as it was much much better live. Came away thinking that the judges must have been wowed in the studio more than it appeared on the tv.

I wonder if that's the case with a lot of the street dance they have on the show. For me, most of them just feel quite flat on screen. Maybe the choreographers are just used to stage rather than tv work (although you'd think they'd be better at it after working on Strictly for a few years now)

Apparently, Fleur's Charleston is Lindy Hop based. It also wasn't choreographed by Jenny, who did the other Charlestons that we have seen so far. Fleur's Charleston was choregraphed by Matt Flint.

I’m really looking forward to Fleur’s Charleston, I think it’ll be fun, and hopefully it’ll be suitably different to Hamza’s that they will feel totally different. Not quite sure how the three pasos will be though…

i like motsi overall (i think her energy brings a lot to the panel) but sometimes her comments are just: you danced! i watched it! wow! look at you dance! you look beautiful! dancing!!! and then a completely random score that relates to nothing

anton can give wonderful feedback (like joanne, as you say) but then give a score that doesn’t reflect it in any way. craig does the opposite sometimes by saying he really liked something and then going 8 or 9 with no real reference to what he thought was missing.

a 10 for me is the dance was amazing and there is nothing within it that could be improved. three of the judges seem to think a 10 is, well i really liked it

Yes, I like Motsi too. I thought this year we saw a bit more of her sense of humour than previously. And she has the most infectious laugh.

I absolutely agree re some of the things she says. Especially when called upon to say something to someone about to do the dance off, all I can think of is the scene in Friends.

7.15 Sunday night for the main show due to tonight being the England/France football game.
8.15 Monday night for the results show, which is somehow discombobulating me more than a Sunday main show, I don't know why.

Also, I've just seen the Instagram rehersal bits, Hamza is looking good in his Charleston, full of pep and bounce! And Fleur and Helen are giving it as much drama as they can wring from their dances, good for them,

And Will has a bucket hat and seems very happy with it, bless him.

Okay I know I'm thick, but why isn't Strictly on tonight??? I thought it was off cos the BBC were showing the football but its on ITV.

Surely the BBC should be offering choice to people who have no interest in the World Cup???

I can't get my head the results being on Monday!!! Flaming Monday!!! At the very least it should have been an extended show with the results included.

Possibly unpopular opinion but all the street dance CCs get so samey. It’s really down to personality to sell it, but even though Will’s looks technically good it’s the dance I’m looking forward to the least.

I thought it was on so have been waiting for it to start, but it makes sense for it to not be on, there’s gonna be 20 odd million people watching the football, they don’t want to lose viewers and make the vote unfair

Because ITV get first pick of the semi finals … and it was only decided on Wednesday which ones they would get. Theoretically the BBC could have been given this one and Wednesday is far too much short notice to finalise the times for the live Strictly show.

The England/Senegal match in the week had about 15 million viewers … this one is most likely get more than that, so it’s probably fairer to the celebs for Strictly to move anyway.

And ITT is on at 9pm! The final is 19:05 to 21:35 next week

It is infuriating that there is no option on TV tonight for those who don't like the World Cup, I just don't get why it has to dominate everything. I can't stand football and it's being held in a medieval shithole to boot.

And yes - if they were moving the show to Sunday, go DWTS style with the results added on for 10 minutes at the end of the show, public vote only. Monday results show and a 9pm It Takes Two isn't workable, can't imagine either raking in the viewers.
