Three pasos, two charlestons, and two waltzes! Not sure about Fleur's paso song.. I predicted they would use Tu vuo' fa' l'americano as soon as I heard Vito was from near Naples..
The Hamzita waltz will be very sweet. Mardy's paso song is more 'authentic' than Fleur's or Molly's. That may well help him. Is this a deliberate three-way paso battle?

Will has got a good piece of music for his paso, actually - traditional flamenco Spanish guitar flavoured stuff.



Pleeeeeease let him be dressed as a matador so we get a Fletcher throwback.

Yeah I don't want to go too tinfoil hat, but the doubling up of dances is so odd. Fleur could easily have done a tango and Molly a salsa. Is the idea that giving Will a traditional paso in full bolero etc will show that of the three of them he is the one with the real quality?

Also not sure about Tu vuo' fa' l'americano as a Charleston - I only remember SCD using it for that pro dance where Graz and Gio fought over Luba on the Italian Riviera (paging Gilkison!)

Will Mardy go full Madchester shuffling or will he waft instead or attempt some sort of recognised dance style to it? whatever he does, the judges will inevitably hail as choreographic genius. Am hoping for Neil and Cameron on maracas

Fleur's Charleston song is fine, but her Paso Doble song is rubbish.

Fleur and Hamza are the only ones who aren't doing dances that no one else is doing. I still don't see why they didn't give Fleur the Tango or Foxtrot instead of one of her confirmed dances. It seems like they want her to be compared.

To be fair, I think a Fleur could do a better Charleston than Hamza and a better Paso than Molly.
I assume Will has the paso because so far only Tyler has stepped up for the male celebs.

Really reaping the benefits of the early dance picks this week aren’t we.

It's daft isn't it, as they all could have done a unique set of dances with no duplicates.
 
Possible unpopular opinion...
But I quite like that they've got similar dances...it will allow a direct comparison, at this point they all should be dancing to a fairly high standard...but that's difficult to judge sometimes when you have 5/6 completely different dances happening...

That's a good way to look at it! I think it's just that from my personal perspective, it's a bit uninspired and repetitive to have to watch most of the dances more than once. They will all be very different so I suppose it really doesn't matter!

ETA someone one DS posted that Mark Wright did a Charleston to a version of Tu vuo fa l'americano. I have repressed everything about it. Don't really like the routine even though Karen looks amazing.
