Gemma probably will wake up in the morning filled with an unaccountable sense of dread. And then look outside to see half a dozen dairy cows peacefully chewing up the front lawn of their house while Gorka proudly shouts "THE SPOTTED ONE IS CALLED SHIRLEY!" up at her.

I thought Lauren came across very well, and was clearly quite at her ease being interviewed by Rylan. I was very envious of her fabulous fringed dress too!

I thought Lauren came across very well, and was clearly quite at her ease being interviewed by Rylan. I was very envious of her fabulous fringed dress too!

He’s been such a brilliant addition. Has the ability to take the piss out of himself. Kooky and hilarious. My preconceptions were so wrong about him. I’d seen something posted on here from the Italian version I presume with a partner and thought he’d be an arrogant sleaze bucket. Nothing could be further from the truth. Love him 😍

When Giovanni first joined I didn't like him at all. I thought he was smarmy and conceited. Then he started to show a softer, goofier side like when he dressed in drag for the Priscilla Queen of the Desert dance and I started to warm to him especially since his partnerships with Debbie, Michelle and Rose.
I don't know what's happened it's like he's lost all sense of humour and is taking himself so seriously he doesn't realise how unattractive he is coming across.

It’s all stuffy suits and heavily-posed photos and he just never seems to be having much fun (or showing he is anyway) with anyone. The whole thing with Richie just felt really mean and off and uncomfortable and that put me off too- I feel like over his time on the show (aside from Laura) he’s had strong partnerships and always been able to adapt and show different parts of himself but that was just a mess.

I don’t think we’ve ever had a hint of what he’s really like, who the real Giovanni is…unless of course the Richie thing is what he’s really like and he was so annoyed he couldn’t be bothered pretending otherwise 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think this is why the Debbie McGee series was by far his finest hour - because he did look like he was genuinely having fun. Everything since has been a bit cold and clinical for me, even last year a bit. Still can't get my head around him not putting up even just a brief goodbye post for Richie. Definitely not hamper-worthy behaviour
 
I think winning the BAFTA went to his head but he doesn't seem to know where to go career-wise. He is not really doing cheesecake-type shoots any more, and maybe the double-breasted jackets are part of his new corporate-friendly image? (he seems to be doing lots of corporate events). I guess we will see how well the BBC series does and if that points him in a new direction with Anton.
Even the ladies on one of his dedicated FB groups are complaining about him - comparing him to Vito in particular and saying Gio isn't as funny, doesn't post as much content, now has bad style.. and of course STILL hasn't proposed to Rose! (that we know)

I feel if he wants to move into more personality-based work than dancing then not showing a full, coherent self was a bit of an error (unless we have seen it), and the problem with having a marketed image of being sexy is that there is always someone newer, hotter coming along. Then you’ve lost your one trick.

I notice Luba is having actual acting lessons rather than just getting a ‘dance teacher/master’ part (I’m looking at you Gio/Aljaz) but it’s still a massive leap from dancing to acting, especially considering the level of competition out there.

Yes, he was my favourite pro for a while because that was the first season I saw and I absolutely loved his partnership with Debbie. It seemed very genuine, nothing else has compared for me since, and he's slipped further and further down my favourite pros list every year. He almost got it back for me last year with Rose, but not quite, and definitely not anymore. It's a shame.

I think he/she is just trying the liven the thread up a bit 😂. J and D seem perfectly harmless to me but with zero chemistry and more like brother/sister than anything else. One of the appreciators lost her 💩 last year when someone on the main forum questioned Dianne’s apparently rocketing media profile and asked what on earth “Di’s hair salon” was all about.
