watching it again this morning, did they leave the swear in that hamilton number 🤣 i was expecting tess to be all apologetic when she appeared!

on a rewatch, i have no clue whose idea it was for molly to start her dance alongside lauren but whoever it is, they have it in for her, what an unfair thing to do. helen’s doesn’t hugely hold up on a second or third viewing imo, but was still the best dance of the night by far. nancy’s dress might be my favourite of the series so far, loved the panelling.

I'm still laughing at Hamza and Jowita's reactions to his demonic crawl towards them. Jowita put her legs up like he was a mouse or something and Hamza went from mortified to looking like he was fighting the urge to pet him.

Jowita absolutely did not know what to do with herself in that moment, bless her. I think she thought Gorka was going to try and brush up against her legs like he was a cat, and she WAS NOT having any of it.

If she'd had a rolled up newspaper to hand Gorka would have been smacked firmly on the nose with it, and she wouldn't have cared that 8 million people saw her do it.

The Hamza conspiracies are daft and often coded by the brigade who like to shout about wokeness.

THE MAN WAS GIVEN A DINOSAUR RUMBA.

A. Dinosaur. Rumba.

I don't see he's been overmarked any more than any of the others. He wasn't the first to get a 10, he's had plenty of critique and he's managed to come good against truly dodgy themes and music at times.

I don't mind Will!!! For me him and Kym are the same kind of contestant. Both have been around for years, singing, acting in soaps, presenting. Basically anything that brings home the bacon.

Kym, I've never liked - famle judgemental thing to be honest. But jings she's changed my opinion. Her AT was stunning. And yeah, Granny Kym whipping around that dance floor in a crop top and tights - not even a leotard - wow!!! She has the body Lousie Rednapp wishes she had!!!

Will, you knew was going to take this seriously and try to win. He's a middle aged guy who used to be a heart throb. So yes, he wants to show he's still got it. And he is a lovely dancer and I've fair warmed to Nancy after not liking her frantic dancing with Rhys last year.

For the other contestants - Helen now has the momentum towards the final with last night's dance - I really didn't think she had it in her but it was a fabulous dance.

Hamza I think is struggling with his knees. When they were dancing, he was grimacing like I do with my sore knees!!! Also Jowita was constantly talking to him and he was counting the numbers. He seems to have tapered off the past few weeks.

Fleur - Beyonce tribute act. I actually liked her quickstep last night and it might help if she had more ballroom dances than the Latin.

And finally wee Molly. She seems like a lovely lassie but unfortunately she's being let down by her pro and last night showed it. I think Molly would be more than capable of doing a similar routine to Georgia's but her routine was safe and staid.

In another year she would probably have been paired with Nikita who would have been a better fit for her. I think apart from Carlos, if she'd been paired with the other male pros she'd have looked like she was dancing with her dad.

They left Helens middle finger salute in too 😉

Well said.
Whatever gets said (and we all have our favourites) dancing is all about partnerships and Hamza and Jowita have a wonderful partnership, best in the show IMO, two people who will actually adhere to that well trotted out phrase and remain ‘friends for life’.

I like the one that the BBC are pushing him because they want him to be the new David Attenborough, though. If David must go (😪💔) I feel like Hamza is the perfect replacement.
Well yes, I expect Hamza is a consideration for that role in any event and being good at dancing and a lovely person never did anyone any harm 😉
I suspect there is an element of giving Hamza a wider profile but I’m guessing they never thought he would turn out to be so good.

Will's foxtrot was the first dance of his I've properly enjoyed. I can't put my finger on why, maybe the song or the level of performance, or just he didn't seem as mardy going into the dance as he usually does

I find the mardiness more amusing than annoying, but in interviews VTs I sometimes get the feeling he's thinking 'is this what someone on Strictly is supposed to do/say?' rather than finding genuine enjoyment in the experience

But i will never not find 'Daddy's fine' funny

Agree. If she had been paired with Gio for example this whole thing would have played out completely differently. Carlos is a talent but they are both sickly sweet, boy/girl next door types and Imo it’s hard to take their sexy stuff seriously. Their rumba was great but was still very safe imo. I don’t know whether it’s her or the show that want to keep her good girl reputation but it’s doing her no favours imo

(Im not saying she should strip off or anything lol. I just think she needs to let loose a bit. It’s all to sweet, good girl for me)

this is exactly it for me too, he’s never quite loosened up and allowed himself to enjoy it imo, it’s like he’s playing the role of will mellor on strictly rather than being himself. i do sometimes wonder if his mardiness is him getting annoyed with himself about how he feels it’s going, i’ve seen him interviewed on a few things (like i guess we all have!) and his personality there is completely at odds with how he’s coming across on the show. i do think he and nancy have a lovely partnership though.

(i will never forget daddy’s fine, especially when we then saw his teenage kids a week or two later. i get the sentiment but…. daddy’s fine)

I think more rumbas should feature massive fluffy dressing gowns and slippers

how is motsi managing to still do such lovely footwork in those giant slippers 🤣

i say it all the time, but i wish we saw the judges dance more. i know craig maybe can’t so much, but shirley and motsi are 🔥 and anton too i suppose 🤣

When Fleur did her CC, I saw many comments asking how it can be marked against the Ballroom and Latin dances. I haven't seen the same for Helen's CC.

Also, a lot of the pros are bigging up Helen's CC on Instagram. I haven't really seen them do that so much with other dances.
I think they might just be happy for her for being able to deal with that whole situation in her own way. To me, she's obviously been careful with everything because at the end of day she has kids with him and maybe she just doesn't want them to find anything negative that she said about him publicly and all that. Last night was her way to say what she needed to without actually having to say it. It probably felt a bit cathartic for her in a way.
