Yep, nobody was even watching Gorka in the dance, it was all about Helen.

I do get why he invokes rage in some posters, but look he has been with Helen through possibly the worst ever time in her life. He (and Gemma from the looks of things) have been supporting her, trying to not only teach Helen to dance, but literally put one foot in front of the other whilst her ex continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. He's the one hugging her, drying her tears in the studio, helping her through this bleeping awful time, telling her she is amazing, that she can do anything. Looking after her, simple things like bringing her breakfast each morning.

And Helen comes out and dances like that. Gorka really does deserve a bit more credit than people just getting pissed off at his arse antics - that he can produce something like what we saw last night from someone who was/is at rock bottom emotionally.

Having been through a relationship break up like Helens, I know exactly what will have been going on behind the scenes, and I would have appreciated someone like Gorka having my back, wiping my nose and just being there.

Completely agree with what you've said! He's 100% been there for her at the worst time! I've said for years he's one of the best choreographers within the pros and produces some great routines, and (on the whole) he seems to always get on with partners!

I can see why the chest flashing, arse wiggling would annoy some people, but likewise others might find it funny! Imo I prefer that over the ones who create a fake showmance sitch ala Gio/Kai to gain votes! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Have to agree thay having him under me would be great boost of confidence 🤣😜

i could see hamza doing his salsa (of course) and maybe his foxtrot? i know the judges like to pick a really early dance to see how good it would be with their new abilities.

will 🤷🏼‍♀️ edit: nah, i’m being mean 🤣 it would be his charleston and maybe his waltz for me.

molly has to redo that rhumba, and i really enjoyed their quickstep. but i’m more unsure for her. i think don’t know if she or carlos would want to pick a dance where they were in the bottom two, and there’s sadly a few of those.

fleur, there’s no point in redoing the couples choice or the samba because they were as close to perfect as they could have been in the first instance. i would like to see their jive again, with all the feedback taken on board, and then maybe a ballroom?

would love for kym to redo her american smooth without the mistake in the lift, and then for that at to fully get the scores it deserved!

helen can only be the jive and maybe the quickstep (but without the other dancers) for me. do they usually repeat dances with other pros though? i guess it would be tricky.

Helen- quickstep and maybe Jive
Will- Salsa and a ballroom (can’t think which 🤣)
Hamza- Salsa and maybe week 1 Foxtrot
Kym- Charleston and another (can’t think)
Molly- AT/rumba and quickstep
Fleur- Samba and a ballroom

Likely all wildly off though!

All it was missing was a Meatloaf power ballad, a sticky-out arse, and a heartfelt monologue about the wonderousness of production team and it’d have been a Brendan full house!


I find it impossible to reconcile Will’s ‘acting’ in his dances with the fact that acting is how he makes his living 🫤

Helen was definitely the best tonight and I really loved the routine. Fleur/Kym/Molly were all great dances performed well but just didn’t win me over as much as Helen. Will was a tad boring and unremarkable (not his fault as such foxtrots can be bit unremarkable especially on big theme weeks) he danced nicely and to a good standard but I’m not rushing to rewatch. Can’t make my mind up about Hamza tonight… whilst it was good for a male samba in terms of dance ability something just didn’t work. It’s the sort of theming that could’ve landed other less favoured and well liked celebs in the dance off. Then again I’ve not really been wowed by many of his dances so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I think Jake Leigh was probably the best bit of tonight.. he was absolutely loving life!!


The dance off result was right despite having a good performance tonight. Such a shame Molly ended up there again

Jake was living his best life! Said to my Hubby I wonder if next year Cameron gets the boot and they nab Jake up full time!

Karim & Amy done jive again in the final which had extra dancers, but they weren’t a huge part of the choreo so things could be easily modified. I can see the same happening with Helen’s quickstep as they weren’t as involved as they were for her cc, i’m struggling to see how they would be able to redo it without the other dancers? I would much rather see her quickstep again anyway.

I thought you couldn’t repeat dances from the quarter final onwards in the final, as you’d be redoing a dance you’d done the week before last and production aren’t keen on the close repetition.

Sadly Jake isn’t ballroom/Latin trained otherwise I think he would’ve been years ago, I think his background is music videos/commercial tours but he’s amazing.

He’s normally on the celebs tour as dance captain and is great to watch as well as seeming to get on with everyone really well.

Ditto Caroline & Pasha’s charleston, but with the choreo tweaked a bit to get round the bits that utilised the extra dancers.

But as I mention above, I don’t think Helen would be able to redo her cc within a fortnight of the original.

It should be all about the dancing (what with it being a dance competition). But humans are not that cut and dry.

Hamza is not producing standout dances in my opinion, but I know people will be voting for him because he's a lovely man, rather than his dance ability.

This. I also think it’s too simplistic (and giving that head far too much credit) to say people are only voting for Helen because of her ex. There will be lots of people who relate to her or admire her strength as well as actually enjoying her dancing. Obviously, not everyone’s going to like her but to chalk her popularity up to sympathy votes and Gorka’s arse is a bit dismissive I think.
