BIB - That's if Helen didn't get to Hamza first with the itching powder.
She hides her competitiveness better than Will does but it's there, big time imo.
Nothing wrong with that of course, it's a competition after all. 😁

I agree it was interesting that Shirley mentioned it to Will. And OMG that would be an epic ITT 🤣
Ah no she’ll be separating the soles from the rest of his shoes 😂! No you’re absolutely right, and I fully accept I have a clouded view of Will. Of course they’re all competitive but if I had to pick between the two of them, I think Helen would be the happier one if someone else one because I think she is a genuine person

But apart from that it was great, right??! As somebody else said (@Fillyjonk) Kym would have really sold that CC in a different way. Shame. Also rewatching Molly, she had a weird facial expression throughout, what was that?

I see DS are having their usual normal one - apparently Fleur was 'aggressive' and 'manly', even when dressed in 1950s dress with a victory roll! I see you.

Molly's dress was lovely, that's about the best compliment I can think of! 😂

Yeah, I noticed Molly seemed off, a bit subdued the whole dance as well. Like I said, I think her confidence has taken a battering. I wonder if the poor thing's just given up a little bit, knowing there's nothing she can do to escape the dance off. Though, that said, her face was doing weird things last week too.

Yes, I also think Kym and Graz would have done better with the song/theme than Helen and Gorka did. I accidentally typed Horka, and I guess I could have left it like that. 😂

Haven't had a look at DS yet, apart from the complaining about Gorka the Whorka's out-of-control bum thread, but I'm not surprised, most of them will never be satisfied with anything she does. I didn't really like the dance much, but it was mostly because of the choreography and background time-wasters. My ADHD brain didn't want to pay much attention to it because it was too disjointed. But I think she did quite well at what she was asked to do, I just wish the whole thing had been a bit smoother. I also think she would have benefited from a more glamorous dress, and Vito's outfit didn't seem to match hers very well.

I hope you don't mind me saying but this is just really unreasonable, not wanting somebody to win because it's their first series. What difference does it make, first or twenty-first?

Yeah, I’m baffled by this too. Though I never understand the idea that pros ‘deserve’ or are ‘due’ or ‘owed’ a win, or that they ‘deserve’ or are ‘owed’ or ‘due’ a contender/ringer/duffer, etc.

They’re hired to train/partner a celebrity. They’re ‘owed’ or ‘due’ the fee specified in their contract. That’s all.

Whilst technically you're right, you've got to see why it would rub people the wrong way if one pro got a ringer every single year and another got a duffer every single year. There's got to at least be some semblance of pretext that the producers don't favour select ones.

Having the quickstep and tonight’s dance in quick succession will be good for her. I want her to win, I have a thing as well that I don’t want Jowita to win because it seems unfair to win on your first series

Tell that to Artem, Camilla or Alijaz! (Or Brendan but I don’t think he counts) If you get a winner on your first go what difference does it make?

Watching Helen’s dance tonight actually made me feel a bit tearful. Having found myself in a not dissimilar situation to her after many years of what I thought was a happy marriage and with a small child, so to see her go out there and essentially shout ‘f*ck you and f*ck your midlife crisis ho’ felt quite emotional.
To be a wife & mother and to be tossed aside like that makes you feel about as sexy as a sofa with broken springs and cat pee on it- so to go out and perform a routine like that takes some grit & courage and I salute her. And feel oddly proud and defensive of her, particularly when people say she doesn’t look comfortable. I would imagine her self esteem, like mine, is non existent so no she probably doesn’t look at ease.
I hope it has been cathartic for her.

Saying all this, I still voted for Fleur & Hamza because my 5 yr old is the boss. But my battered-sofa internal self gave all 3 to Helen for tonight. 💕💕

I'm in the same place *hugs* It totally rips the guts out of your self esteem and sense of self. Cheating is a form of abuse, and the damage it does cuts so deep. I think Helen is phenomenal to be so dignified, and her journey humbles me so much - I'm three years out from a similar experience, and my life/confidence/mental health are still in pieces. To go through it so publicly and do what she's doing blows my mind.

A Pro can be a hit on their own too and folk will vote for them regardless of who they dance with. I think Jowita, Vito and Carlos are all excellent additions who have built great relationships with their partners and if you didn’t know, you wouldn’t necessarily think they’re newbies.

If it wasn’t fair, they wouldn’t have got the partners they did.

Love it! 😁

Regarding Molly and Fleur's seeming unpopularity throughout the series. My thoughts;
1. I still don't actually know who they are, what they have done previously. I think that's an underestimated problem for some younger contestants (I don't really pay any attention to the VTs). I know I won't be the only one and I'm only 38.
2. They are both with new pros, so people aren't voting to keep the pro in as much. Certainly, if I don't warm to a contestant, then I look at which pros I like the most. Would Ellie T have lasted as long without JoJo's popularity?

I proper cringed when Gorka ran over to Craig to show him his arse. Craig seemed appalled. And he can have a laugh. There was no need. He does seem to have got a bit too big for his boots. It’s about Helen not him.

I agree. I love Gorka, but it's reeking of desperation.

I don’t think of them would have a strong fanbase either

Why is it unfair to win on your first series?

Literally nothing more than just feeling sorry for the other pros who have done years and not won lol, it’s not a big thing like I’d be annoyed if she did win with Hamza, but I’d feel bad for Gorka in his 3rd final

He’s in danger of becoming the next Neil, having a sequinned mid life crisis , playing up for the camera and showing he’s just as sexy as all the new younger pro’s

Dear Lord what did he do to deserve this comparison? I will NOT have Gorka compared to Neil. No way no how!
In all seriousness I think the shirt opening and the crawling in the clauditorium was scripted but I can’t defend showing Craig his arse. As I’ve said I will over look it this once.

Nah I don’t mind, it probably sounds worse that what I mean, I like Jowita and think she’s a great addition to the show, it’s more if there were two couples I liked equally I’d prefer the pro who’s done years to get the win

Im a bit biased because I’m a massive fan of Gorka’s arse, but even I think that was a bit tacky.
I actually think that despite the outfit and the crawling across the floor, Gorka did make last night’s routine all about Helen rather than himself. For most of the routine he was behind her, next to her, or underneath her ( the lucky cow ).
I think the way he’s partnered Helen has been spot on - the difference between the first couple of weeks and last night’s dance is huge, and I do think that a lot of that is because of Gorka.

Molly and Fleur are gorgeous and both look amazing whatever look they are given. Totally sickening 😀

I said a few weeks ago I really would love Gorka to win but I didn’t think Helen was his winner.
I’ve changed my mind now.
She might not be a perfect dancer but maybe it is just about the “journey” sometimes, where she started from and where she is now is worlds apart.
I think she’s an amazing example for the show and the power of dance and how it can change a person.
Arse wiggling and chest flashing aside I think their partnership has been phenomenal she needed someone to boost her up when she was at her lowest and I think someone like Gorka was perfect for her, a family man who there would be no romance rumours with and just an all round nice guy, he seems to care about her a lot and as a choreographer really pushes her but plays to her strengths too. I think he dances with her and doesn’t over dance and makes her front and Center his choreography has been amazing as it was with Alexandra and Maisie too and I think the two of them together deserve the win.

Christ on a bleeping bike. 🤬
Funny how none of the people criticising Fleur and Molly have the guts to come out and say what they really mean. It’s not because they are confident, or aggressive, or something non specific that they can’t put their finger on ( 🙄 ). The last person I remember being criticised in the same way as Fleur and Molly was Alexandra Burke. Now, what could the three of them possibly have in common? 🙄
