Every week I wait for the dances to be announced and every week I’m underwhelmed. Whoever’s responsible for the song choices is stealing a wage.

Zero reason for a second Lion King samba. Molly getting the dreaded Charleston but I feel like she’ll smash it. Interested to see what Helen does with Mein Herr cos everything so far indicates she’s not comfortable being overtly sexy. I don’t think a cha cha is what Kym needed after missing last week. Fleur will prob bounce back. Hoping Will’s foxtrot will be so boring it sends whoever’s voting for him to sleep and he gets the Tom Fletcheresque exit I’ve been manifesting for weeks 🤞🏻
I wouldn’t call it the dreaded charleston anymore. It was cursed but the last few people who have danced it have done really well and got through so hoping for the same for Molly!

Wasn’t too sure about Hamza’s song at first but I have faith in the people who do the music to liven it up a bit. There was a segment on ITT a few weeks ago about the work they do in the music department and it’s insane the amount of things they add/take away. The beat of the song has a samba feel so I can see them injecting a lot of energy into the song. Don’t know how I feel about Helen’s though, brilliant song and concept but not sure it suits her and agree with others that it probably would have suited Kym a lot more. Love Molly but can’t see her topping Georgia & Gio.

My husband had the car radio on Talk TV. This afternoon I heard Vanessa Feltz interviewing The Pritchard brothers. They are in panto in Leicester. Cinderella.
Bonus Pritchard sighting - AJ is in a Celebrity Masterchef Christmas special. According to him, he modestly said he did amazingly and is an amazing cook 😂

Janette's questions: 'does it get easier to be in the DO? do you think you need to get higher scores to stay out of the DO?'
These questions are painful, good heavens! What is Fleur supposed to say to that?

Janette and Jo Clifton clearly having a jolly time chatting though, which was nice. Can imagine them catching up behind the scenes with a G&T later on, having a good ol' bitchfest about the judges and the pros they both know.

(Also the pro challenge continues to be a completely abject failure, poor Nancy!)

I have never known another Strictly Pro to mess up their career so badly so quickly, especially one as young as AJ who could have made a mint if he stayed on Strictly for another 5+ years with all the Strictly earning and opportunities then going off to do the Zeleb route when he could have commanded bigger fees etc.

Why, in the name of all that is holy are we getting another Lion King samba!!!???
There's so many different musicals that they could pick from??

Such a disappointing mix of songs and dances for musicals week! The only one I'm looking forward to seeing is Molly's Charleston
Also slightly intrigued about Helens CC VT...she's been so stoic about the cheating ex husband, I can't see her wanting to make a big deal of a VT, but likewise I can imagine the production pushing for some sympathy votes...

Especially as he was a good pro, that did well partnering his different celebs and worked really well with Lauren and her disability. He got pretty far with all of them, so it was just a bit baffling. I know covid apparently messed up some of their plans but it was still a foolish gamble.

Jowita is the sunshiney goddess you didn’t know you needed until she came along.

I seem to remember his time on the actual show consisted mainly of him making custard.

Agree it was a silly and premature thing to do. I do wonder whether Oti regrets leaving too when she is standing there having to present whatever crappy ITV dance show they have made her do! But at least she is a good presenter and has name and face recognition from Strictly. AJ just didn't stick it out long enough.

I reckon we'll get a Kym vs Will dance off. Will's dance has "boring" stamped all over it with a song like that, and I just don't see a Fame cha cha being Kym's forte.

Kym would have done a stunning Mein Herr - bit of a shame it didn't go to her.

Will’s music + foxtrot = coma 😴💤

Hopefully Kym will benefit from a bit of Irene Cara memorial voting. Though I agree she’d have rocked ‘Mein Herr’. Cabaret is my favourite musical of all time, and that’s my favourite song from it.

I just can’t see the look, characterisation or dance style suiting Helen at all.

And let’s all just take a moment to imagine how fabulous Faye Tozer would have been with ‘Mein Herr’ 🤩🤩🤩
