I know it was a different actual week last year, but I’ve just remembered that last year gave us Tom Fletcher’s elimination and this year will never live up to that.

It was just TV gold!

Mein Herr is reeeeally not going to suit Helen - sharp, sexy, Fosse, requires acting? I can't see that working for her. She'd have been better off with something twee and pretty.

agreed on all counts - some really uninspired choices imo. i love sun and moon within the context of miss saigon, it’s a gorgeous song, but not sure if it will make a good foxtrot.

mein herr is a very strange choice for helen, with her tap experience i would 1000% have gone for anything goes or gimme gimme - something fun that would have played to her strengths.

Every week I wait for the dances to be announced and every week I’m underwhelmed. Whoever’s responsible for the song choices is stealing a wage.

Zero reason for a second Lion King samba. Molly getting the dreaded Charleston but I feel like she’ll smash it. Interested to see what Helen does with Mein Herr cos everything so far indicates she’s not comfortable being overtly sexy. I don’t think a cha cha is what Kym needed after missing last week. Fleur will prob bounce back. Hoping Will’s foxtrot will be so boring it sends whoever’s voting for him to sleep and he gets the Tom Fletcheresque exit I’ve been manifesting for weeks

I reckon we'll get a Kym vs Will dance off. Will's dance has "boring" stamped all over it with a song like that, and I just don't see a Fame cha cha being Kym's forte.

Kym would have done a stunning Mein Herr - bit of a shame it didn't go to her.

Last year’s musicals week belongs squarely to Ariadne, it was truly her finest and funniest hour (and there is a lot of competition). I still go back and read it when I need cheering up.
