Ah not a long stint then.

He didn’t strike me a soap actor but I guess if that’s what going for him then so be it. I’m guessing hes doing a Kelvin Fletcher and hoping to land more acting role after this.

The first thing I ever remember Will being in was in Hollyoaks in its early days playing a character called Jambo. He was in it for about 3 years. He’s also done Casualty and had a short stint in Eastenders

Oh really I never knew.

I never followed his career tbh I only know him from two pints of larger because it was the most high profile.

I think she's a nice person but I just find her persona a bit infantile and her partnerships feel like they're about her more than the celeb. She also seems to rely a bit too much on having red hair and being AuStRaLiAn to stand out rather than letting the dancing do the talking
This is how I feel about her too. And I don’t understand why, with a full compliment of women pros, she’s never benched. I don’t see what the Producers see

I saw Will Mellor at the waterpark in Dubai in about 2006/7. He looked exactly like he does on TV.

That's probably one of the most boring statements I've ever typed- sorry.
Was he singing his 1997 hit cover version of When I Need You (originally a hit for Leo Sayer I believe)?

I think a lot of it has to do with her social media numbers - they think she's popular and can bring in a younger audience? Even though that huge fanbase doesn't seem to impact Dianne's vote or viewing figures much 🤷

Ah of course, she will have the highest number of followers. But yeah, they don’t seem to vote for her - although it might be a drop in viewers if she is benched and TPTB might not want to take the chance

I think it's been proven time and time again on this show regardless of a pro/contestants background or social media followers that doesn't equate to getting votes.

People are going to vote based solely on the dancing and the storyline fed to them that week.

Will doing a charleston in a suit?

The more they say about Will and Nancys' charleston, with its' non-standard choreo/theming, and which needs to be danced in by them both in jet black suits, the more intrigued I grow. I mean, well done for promoting it, guys, I am definitely tuning in to watch!

Also, why the giddy heck did we have three celeb interviews on Monday, none yesterday and only one today, what is happening (I know Kym is poorly, but that shouldn't affect the schedules this badly?)

The sole exception I've seen is Anton appearing on A Question Of Sport last year. You could see the looks he was getting, a sort of "what's this silly ponce doing on a sports trivia quiz show?" and he was in full "ha-ha marvellous, what's a football, darlings?" luvvie mode, and my old dad was getting revved up to hate him

And then he wiped the floor with everyone. To the point where I think he started holding himself back so his win wasn't so embarassing for the sports professionals he was up against. It was great.

Oti has a degree in civil engineering, and Pasha always comes across as quite well read (and I’d imagine Rachel wouldn’t be settled with someone who was on the dim side), but in general dancers remind me of footballers in that, bar the occasional outlier, their brains are in their feet and they were more interested in training than homework.

Does anyone else remember Karen Hardy and her explanation of “central frugal force”? 😁

My favourite Janette ITT moment today - giving Katya and Cameron a 'congrats!' and 👍 with zero irony after they'd both done terribly in the pro challenge
I loathe the way she pauses so long before telling them they've got disqualified! I know that's in the script but you know Rylan would handle that with more irony, not wildly applauding Cameron for his 26 then waiting 2 minutes for his wee face to fall!

Katya just posted this. I would *love* (unsurprisingly) to see her and Vito lead a pro dance!
