Does anyone else think because this series has felt 'meh' in places is that we are missing an out and out ringer?

Obviously there was no ringer last year either but we had the Rose story pulling peoples attention and talking points.

With a ringer theres always something to talk about as the dances are normally always spot on.

I also think ringers push other celebs to try a bit harder. Plus it's good to have a guaranteed show stopper!

Hi guys how is everyones evening?

I was at a family members house at a gathering half watching the show. My thoughts:

-Beginning of the show saying to Craig that he hasn't given a 10 and there has been no 40 yet is just asking for the judges that they must give a 40 tonight which isnt fair; let them mark how they want to mark.

-Hamza - He was good but had 'pigeon toes' as mum mum kept saying throughout the dance; he's the obvious winner so I'm resigned to the fact that any obvious mistakes will be ignored.

-Molly - I think she was let down by the song choice, not exciting enough for a jive in Blackpool. It was a good dance but felt like she lost power by the end of it.

-Kym - I'm sorry I was distracted by the songs and the singing but from what I remember she did well enough. Noticed Graziano had Will's mardy face while getting some of the critiques.

-Tyler - Deffo loved the music! The lifts at the start weren't the best but once he got into the dance he was good. The lift at the end was great.

-Ellie - It was clunky in places, did she forget some of it?? The lifts were lovely thought. Didn't appreciate the cheat code of having Johannes and the male dances dancing the last 10 seconds of the dance while she got lifted in a Glinda circle.

-Helen - I missed it due to toilet break and chatting; didn't like the outfits and think it being Blackpool it could have been a better song, theme and outfits given but after rewatching she did amazing! It's times like this is when she could give Hamza a run for his money even if he has got the win wrapped up.

-Fleur - I didnt know what to make of it really; its not like she danced badly but it was too all over the place with a megamix as it was too stop-start. Deffo not a worth a 40! This could bite her in the arse next week as I think the general public opinion is that it did not deserve a 40.

Will - I had a bit of dejavu because at our family gathering some of my family were up dancing and I thought my dad danced in the tv for a second!
Echo your thoughts completely!

To add - Ellie T’s dance was so underwhelming. I really like her and Jojo together as a pair but this was a damp squib. The song did nothing for anyone, and she did get out of dancing at the end. I worry for her this week.

The song choice for kym was so bad, I don’t think it really worked and became too distracting. I think her passo had the potential to be 🔥🔥🔥 had the song choice been better imo. Two different songs also made it feel like two different dances.

Molly I feel will get forgotten and could be in danger as her jive was fine but didn’t light up the ballroom. Shame as I like her and I feel she is really enjoying it.

Helen’s best dance so far imo. Love her and gorka together.

I enjoyed Fleur but it reinforces why I hate CC … it just seemed like a dance she would dance anyway as part of her own music videos, so of course she did well at it.

Yes I love a ringer for this reason, on occasions like this they really liven the show up. Plus I find the other pros really up their game because they want the big scores too.

I'd agree but ironically this year has more on paper ringers than last and last year was the one with better dances. I do miss the Danny & Alexandra types who are just amazing every week though.

The show has cast a lot of middlers in recent years rather than going for full out ringers or full out duffers for some reason which is a shame IMO.
