If you ever want a laugh, take a genuine Italian to a UK chain "Italian" restaurant and give them a plate of what we call carbonara, or present them with a Tesco/M&S ready meal version.

My uncles' lovely half Greek, half-Italian wife cried in sheer rage and despair over it back in the 1990s. "WHY IS THERE THE CREAM AND THE GARLIC? WHY IS THERE THE FUNGI? WHY DO YOU BRITISH COME TAKE OUR FOODS AND OUR STATUES AND DESECRATE THEM, EH?"
 
Just looking at Dianne's insta stories, are some of the pros filming something tonight?

Actually, scrap that, looks like they were posted a few hours ago, think they're still from today though, I wonder what it was for.

Well, what have the Romans ever done for us?
 
I work with a load of Italians and I remember a few years ago at a work Xmas dinner conversation had lulled a bit so I asked them about whether they had turnips in the various regions they came from and what they called them. I kid you not, an hour-long passionate debate ensued about the proper terminology for turnips, cooking procedures, serving suggestions etc. Not quite Graz screaming but almost! luckily I was able to leave them to it and slip off to the bar without anyone noticing..

Gio has joined them, looking particularly Godfather-esque! 😂

I briefly dated a lovely Italian man a few years ago who took extreme offence to spaghetti bolognese...
"It should be the tagliatelle. And don't get me started on 'the sauce'"

...they take their pasta very seriously 😂

They are filming parts of the pro dances for the weekend, they were talking about it on ITT earlier!

This photo has me howling! Especially Graz’s ‘thoughts and prayers’ face. They’ll be calling a priest soon. And Gio’s about to order a hit on some poor unsuspecting chef: ‘make sure it looks like an accident’
