No sympathy for Kai I’m afraid, he’s got many years ahead of him on the show to make Blackpool, it’s only his 2nd series.

Agree that it’s been good to see a different side of Nancy with Will. I think she’s found her footing as a pro now. After having two of the more naturally talented guys for her first two partners, I reckon she’s due a duffer next year so will be interesting to see what she can do with one.

I think he's probably grateful to have a bit of a break actually.

As for Kai, I may be wrong, but the impression I get is that TPTB are just getting his season on duffer duty out of the way early so people don't witch as much as they did about Gio never getting a duffer, and from next year on will give him good partners until he wins. I find it hard to believe that they're not invested in him after he got to the final with AJ. (and was in the final twice in Ireland)

Will is so intense, I used to think any time he was interviewed - how does Nancy deal with that day in day out. 😁
I think that she was the best person to put with him. He wants to work hard, and Nancy won't hold back on that score, imo.

I also think that because she seems to be a naturally upbeat person, that has helped her to keep her spirits up. 😁 And yes, there is a really calm side to her nature too.

She and Rhys were well matched in a different way, and it worked, especially as time went on.
And despite seeing more than their fair share of dance offs they were there almost to the final.

I think she and Will are headed for the semifinal at the very least, if not the final, but it's Hamza's to lose, imo.

Yeah, this makes sense. I did initially think it odd he got Kaye as I assumed he'd have a similar run of partners to Gio (ringers or journey celebs) but maybe they're just playing the long game with him (and not wanting to look like they have such obvious favourites these days?)

I'm personally not that fussed about Kai - I don't mind him, I just don't find him particularly exciting to watch. Maybe it's because he looks like an insurance salesman

Gorka recently said he wants to keep doing Strictly so I wonder what sort of partner he'll get next after it looks like he might reach his third final this year (I think the title is definitely Hamza's now)

Gorka is due an older partner next year - his oldest partners have been 39 (Tameka & Helen). Maybe not a duffer but he’s had his share of younger ones.

I mean, Katie Piper was a full-on duffer and did well to get to week 4, and Katie McGlynn seemed to be a no-go from the start in terms of popularity. And he didn't even get a partner in 2019 😆. He's certainly had three good dancers but Helen's the only one he's had who's had any sort of chance of winning

Just hoping he doesn't get anyone called Katie next year 😜
 
Gorka isn’t a Giovanni - he has had two who never had a hope in hell (Katie Piper & Tameka) and obviously was benched but his other 4 were good on paper. He was unlucky that Katie McGlynn couldn’t hack it, others have done well juggling soaps and SCD training, sadly she didn’t. He’s had 3 good celebs so has no cause for complaint.

Just think it would be interesting to see him with an older celeb but would kinda rather see him with one who is more middle of the road. It’s been very feast or famine with him.

In terms of the age of his partners he has done alright. You can thank Katya for him not getting a partner in 2019 because I bet my life savings if she didn't kiss Seann in 2018 there wouldn't have been as much of an outcry for Neil to get a partner the next year (at least in the strictly fandom) 😜

Gorka definitely isn't Giovanni level lucky with his partners but tallying it up Gorka hasn't had it to bad; I think him and Amy should be getting duffers next year.
 
Johannes & Giovanni have never had an outright duffer (including when Johannes was on the South African version) either plus Vito has had a win in Italy followed by a great partner in Fleur for his first UK season. All of them are probably due a duffer.

Nancy & Amy for the female pros.

Will Jowita get a duffer next year if she wins with Hamza? Like Janette, she has height on her side and they often have a short male contender in the cast.
 
I think it was unfortunate that Katie Mcglynn couldn’t commit properly as she did show a bit of promise. If she’d been able to rehearse a bit more she possibly could’ve got a bit further into the competition. I do think there’s been pros who’ve had much more favourable runs than others which is one of the main reasons I’d like to see a completely new production team.
 
I mean, some pros can polish a duffer (look at Katya - who'd have ever thought Week One Tony could do that quickstep a month later?)

I think production are more interested in who will get the most views than who deserves a duffer. Though I agree re Gorka - I'd like to see him with somebody older, not that good but fun.

I agree it would be interesting to see him with an older partner next year, but i was more arguing your point about all his partners being ringers or middlers which certainly hasn't been the case

This is one of the reasons I was disappointed he didn't get Nina last year - they would have been a fun match I think

BIB - that is for sure. On the very first night, he looked petrified and totally out of his comfort zone.
I just went and watched their quickstep again. I think it was my favourite of their dances.

I heard The Devil Went Down to Georgia on my car radio yesterday.
It's always going to remind me now of Tony and Katya. 😁
 
Unless Hamza - messes up his dances from now on, think that Glitter ball is his and Jowitas. I think that Ellie T must be getting the votes in, beginning to wonder if she might make it to the final.
Be interesting to see which pros stay on next year. I wonder if Karen will stay on but asked to be benched. It’s good steady income for a dancer. Gio, I think stay on and try and do an Anton, plus the Beeb have invested him with his and Antons travel show - their answer to Ant n Dec? Maybe they will give Luba a celeb next year?
