Just saw online that Tyler has now gone further in the competition than any radio DJ has been before.

Haven't all these radio DJ's been from BBC radio as well? He's from Kiss radio might be making the difference

Not just Tyler but Fleur as well.

I always thought Scott Mills got further but I just checked and he was voted out week 6. Felt like he was there longer for some reason.

I know she's better known as a soap actress, but technically Gemma was a DJ when she was on Strictly (and still is) and got to the final

Yeah, people probably know her more for X Factor but her current job is radio DJ.

Djing is Tyler's full time job; the girls came to fruition through other things first as well as doing other jobs as well. I think of Fleur from xfactor and i'm a celeb and Gemma from Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and modelling first.

Jeremy Vine got to week 8, and Zoe Ball got to the final as well, though they were also known for their TV work.

Hopefully this week will be more like week 4 than the last couple of weeks. Kym could have another good one with the AT. Tony could be safe again with another fun dance. Ellie T is better at ballroom, so she might struggle with the Rumba. Nice to see the Waltz again.

Like I said, Gemma is better known for other stuff. But both her and Fleur are full time DJs like Tyler (and all work for the same company - Bauer clearly like having their presenters on Strictly!)

I think the DJ's who were eliminated prior to week 7 were all DJ's who were purely known for that and how they got their start in the industry.

Scott Mills, Dev Griffin, DJ Spoony, Vic Hope. Might be missing someone thats who I can remember from the top of my head.

Thats why it was known as the 'DJ curse' if you are purely a DJ it was thought of you weren't going to get far in the competition.

I agree. I'm nit sure if it's all an act but it must be wearing being the only person on the judging panel being constructive and the others playing up to the sudience. I think he was getting far tetchier with the booing too. The booing is irritating. I'm wondering if the audience are encouraged to do it now whenever he speaks. I do think Anton is constructive in his comments most of the time. It is massively annoying that the two female judges, both highly regarded, experienced dancers and choreographers are put in the airhead roles of 'oh I looove it!' to any old crap while the men are the ones giving out the advice. Not sure if that's them or the producers, but I'm sure they have enough power to say no to the producers.
Sorry if this has already been answered but the crowd are very much encouraged to boo, cheer, clap etc - in fact when I was there, they re-shot certain segments and asked that people be louder.

I used to be one of those that would get annoyed watching it at home but they have a warm up guy who eggs people on!

Rewatched the pro dance, only just realised what song they were murdering. Lol, why? The lyrics are so ill-fitting it's hilarious. If they just used the chorus I could understand, but 'there's a bar in far Bombay...' on the flipping sun? 😂 And the outfits! Either belonged to an 80's music video or a cheap 50's scifi movie. 😂

Gilkinson needs to find a new obsession. Just another Romeo and Juliet, and Vito as Mercutio being like 'for duck's sake', but in space.

More partially clothed Nikita leading pro dances, less barefoot stamping and arm-waving please.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised by no Graziano and Katya, unless they have other tours not yet announced

Neil tho 😬. Tbf, he was the best out of the male pros at the compere stuff on the last tour. You've got to admire his ability to hang on in there 😆
I hope Dianne isn’t front and certain of it all again, especially as next year will be the first pro tour for quite a few of them. Neil was good this year, his saving grace is being able to laugh at himself 😂

Ellie & Nikita: Charleston to Too Darn Hot by Kiss Me Kate

Ellie & Johannes: Rumba to Alone by Heart

Fleur & Vito: Waltz to I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues by Elton John

Helen & Gorka: Jive to Tightrope by Janelle Monáe

Kym & Graziano: Argentine Tango to Assassin’s Tango by John Powell

Molly & Carlos: Foxtrot to You Make Me Happy by My Sun and Stars

Hamza & Jowita: Cha Cha Cha to I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) by Four Tops

Tony & Katya: Salsa to I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) by Pitbull

Tyler & Dianne: Viennese Waltz to I’ve Been Loving You Too Long by Seal

Will & Nancy: Quickstep to Soda Pop by Robbie Williams featuring Michael Bublé
Oooh Tony 😬 we’ll soon find out if people are voting for him regardless of what he dances

Agree with pretty much everything on your list except your no.1 point... Motsi brings much needed diversity to the panel which would be a bit stale and dare I say "pale" without her inane wafflings, tiffs with Craaaig & quite frankly gravity defying hairstyles - she brings colour (no pun intended) and flavour to the judges so don't mind keeping her for now - I'd rather replace Shirl tbh
Maybe replacing Shirley would put Motsi in a more 'serious' role.

Sorry if this already been asked and answered, but the week Strictly is on the Friday, 2nd December I think it is, what night will the results be on? I’m out that night, so just want to avoid the spoilers (easy I know) before I see the main show

Melvin Odoom. I think he was a Kiss FM DJ at the time he was on it and was eliminated first
