Someone earlier here (sorry can't remember who) was wondering who was voting for Ellie S. I obviously follow along on the night here, but afterwards sometimes look at other blogs and comments. The Guardian live blog is interesting as views can be so different to here. In comments there were so many saying 'gave all three votes to Ellie S as she is so lovely and could be in danger' - I mean loads of them. So she does have a committed fan base 🤷‍♀️
They also love Will 'bless, you could see the disappointment in his face' (I just see seething rage usually), and Amy 'so pretty and bubbly', again 🤷‍♀️
So it really does take all sorts.
For some reason the phrase 'seething rage' set me off laughing when I read this post last night. I would love to see Will in the dance off, not because I dislike him - I don't - but just to see his reaction.
He is so intense about the whole thing, even when he is trying not to be - he is intensely trying not to be intense 😂

I like Fleur. I read a comment on Digital Spy that she really wants to be there. That's what I think too. She doesn't keep prating about being a fan or whatever else, and tbh, dance offs apart, she looks like she is having the time of her life. I think it's just a case of quite a few of them this year bunching in the middle of the leader board and that's why she ends up where she does.

Didn't Rhys do a lot of dance offs? And he still did really well. I would like to see her doing the same.

I made a Halloween playlist for the kids a year or two ago and we were listening to it this morning and I was just thinking how much fun they could have had with the theme using better songs! For the pro group dances and the couples.
The ones I thought would have been fun to use from the playlist I have were:

Bad Guy - Billie Eilish
Addams Groove - MC Hammer
This is Halloween - The nightmare before Christmas
Poor Unfortunate Souls - The Little Mermaid
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon

What would you have liked to have seen??

Danse Macabre for a Viennese Waltz and I will die on that same hill Kate Bush was running up.

I think Gios issue could also be his PR team - maybe they are at a loss, with what to do now that he isn’t dating a celeb and was out of strictly so early. Maybe some more HelloFresh promotions - his looked like hostage videos? I actually found his promotion ads for HelloFresh hilarious.
I've said it before - his PR team are dire! All they do is massage his ego and then fire fight when it all goes wrong with statements he obviously hasn't written. There doesn't seem to be any forward planning, public image consultations or media coaching.

They also encouraged the Rose/Gio shipping with that cringe post but clearly have no strategy to prevent the inevitable backlash when he's seen out on the town with someone from Geordie Shore or whatever.. I guess they think the Anton/Gio show will pull in a slightly different audience for him..

I see a lot of mention of Rhys and I have to admit I can't remember him at all

He was partnered with Nancy and gave really energetic performances.
I think he ended up in the dance off quite a few times.

Then when AJ was injured, and unable to compete any further, there were calls for him to be brought back as he had just been eliminated.
Didn't happen obviously but he did very well overall despite dance offs.

I get it’s boring spending Saturday nights sat next to Neil out of the spotlight but Gio needs to download Candy Crush or something rather than throwing a monster raving ego party on Twitter.

My take on Gio tweets he needs to sell them tour tickets and perhaps needs to get himself noticed/exposure. I think perhaps he underestimated how much he needs strictly for exposure. Should have tried harder with Richie. I reckon he may even try and fuel rumours he’s dating Rose. Rose means prizes for Gio.

Let’s NOT manifest this- Rose can do considerably better than being some dusty man’s PR stunt, particularly one who dresses like he’s her father and is working for 11.5 months of the year.

Some very weird comments on the Facebook group

Some very weird comments on the Facebook group

the referring to her by her full name is very weird too in comparison to the rest?

i have huge respect for amy in terms of how she manages her crohns while dancing at a high level (i think anyone who watched her bbc wales doc on it would probably agree) - this type of concern is just the type of condescension she’s always tried to avoid imo, even if it’s well meaning.

Re Facebook I can't believe how many people think it's a fix that James went. Did people really think he was good in any of his dances? That charleston was the only one that didn't bore me to tears and that was mainly because it will go down in Strictly history as one of the Fever Dream dances.

Same on Twitter - did people really want him to stay, or is it just those who dislike Fleur using it as an opportunity to call for her to be evicted anyway? ~Who wanted to see James' cha cha? the judges had already been fairly gentle on him (and then the show threw him under the bus with a beekeeper-themed charleston!)
