Funny that this is posted below that awful Simpsons dance because the guy on the right actually reminds me more of Max and his endless 'smoulder'. All that's missing is the pout.
 
Missed the show tonight and can’t find it on iPlayer 😰 Does anyone know when it gets added? Will I have to wait until tomorrow?
 
Jayde is a good singer. She has an amazing smile. I love her confidence and her unapologetic enjoyment in life in a larger body when society demands she should hide away and be ashamed of herself.
However, she is not dancing and doesn’t seem to be improving at all. She is being judged to a lower standard which is unfair. She has walked all of her dances, her energy is low, her technique non existent. She should not get to Blackpool.

That said , I do think if Jayde was slim and dressed more feminine, she would have gone home by now . The judges patronise her because they think she’s doing her best a woman like her can. When she’s not , she’s putting performance over skills . Which is fine , but this year there’s also Ellie T and Tony in that role. I hope Jayde gets through to next week , purely because I think her and Karen’s Halloween would be entertaining, while someone like James and Amy will just be bland . But i wouldn’t be sad if she went out next week because Blackpool week should mark a step up in ability , and I don’t see her improving much more than she has because mastering the steps is the “ easy “ part , it’s the transitions that make it a dance.

Same as I wouldn’t be mad if Tony made it to Blackpool purely because he’s sort of improving week by week , so long as he is marked against his own dances and not the other competitors . Plus he’s taking it seriously, he’s trying his best , he’s taking on criticism and seems to be genuinely enjoying performing .

If I was being even more cynical ,I think Kym might need to leave before Blackpool because of the Waterloo road filming schedule 😂

bib I could'nt disagree more.

Perhaps people feel that she is just not dancing, and as it is a dancing competition she is not getting the critique that other better contestants are are getting, I feel like it's the Emperors new clothes...or that I'm in the twilight zone.

Jayde is getting a free pass each week and I don't know why.

Yep. It’s really odd - she doesn’t really dance very much at all. The first few weeks it’s like ok they are all still new to dancing she will improve - but it feels like there has been little to no development since week one for Jayde 🤷🏻‍♀️.

her feet barely came two centimetres off the floor.

i’m so so behind because i watched at my parents and couldn’t keep up with the thread but:

- mollie was DONE WRONG by that music.

- kym’s comments and scores were unjustified.

- i love hamza.

i barely remember the rest.

.Personally I think she’s being kept in partly because of entertainment value but also because she so polarising - you either seem to like her or despise her . Tony is getting marked low because he’s so popular with the public and it keeps him in as people vote for him as the underdog .

I’d rather watch Tony and Jayde dancing badly but being entertaining than Will or Kym dancing well but having a mard on . It would be boring if we all had the same opinions and/or there was a clear winner from week 2

I neither liked Jayde nor despised her, until tonight .For that I would have to know a bit about her, which I don’t. Before Strictly , I had never heard of her so had no opinion of her at all. I don’t think she can dance, I don’t think she puts in any effort at all , and I don’t think she is in the least entertaining. Tony puts in a great deal of effort, and is entertaining. I still don’t despise her, but when she was given a six from Craig (am I correct there ?) she looked rather aggrieved, she obviously though she should have had a higher mark. So, now I think she has a very high opinion of herself, and the judges are encouraging her in that. Apart from Motsi. I am pretty certain, behind closed doors, there will be a bit of complaining by the other dancers , about her marking.
 
sorry i’m going to dedicate a post to this and i’m sure you already all discussed this but:

mollie could do absolutely nothing with that music. the grange hill theme doesn’t have any bass or even a describable beat - they’d managed to come up with a salvageable routine somewhere in there but it was a waste of their couples choice. and shirley being like she didn’t get the narrative. i’m sorry shirley did you think you were watching ballet or something, they were dancing in school uniform to the grange hill theme what did you WANT.

i’m sad that was her couples choice, she could have delivered something so much better.

Couldn't agree more. I actually dislike her and her non performance. There is a sense of entitlement that I find rather off putting.
