Love Ellie and Nikita ripping the absolute piss out of PB. Somehow she's more macho than Joe Sugg ever was dancing to that song. Hamza and Jowita were daft but convincing too, and dare I say it but mardyarse actually seemed to be having fun there. Might just be wind.

Some really didn't get the memo though. Amy actually choreographed a dance there while you can see the longing to dick about in a shearling coat die in James' eyes. Dianne feeling herself dancing in front of Tyler who is probably staring wistfully at Gorka and Helen pootling about as teletubbies.

I cannot bear her either and the judges bias towards her "walking" hasn't helped, especially when they are imo, unduly harsh to other who are actually dancing. Won't be sad to see her go, can you imagine the production that will be. The BBC better have a least an extra 15mins for her tearful and gushing goodbyes.
I think she is the weakest, and the way the judges are treating her is annoying. Fleur was told 'this is week three' as though it was week ten, and Fleur is really working hard and has been from the start.

I can't think of one bit of feedback Jayde has received that would enhance her walking around, oops I mean dancing. There's much higher expectations being put on everyone else, and yet they are all in the same competition. That makes no sense.

Tony got a 2, let's not forget, from Craig. And he is in it heart and soul, once he got past the first week where he looked so tense. What are the judges seeing that we are not, when Jayde is performing!

I had to laugh last night, there was a clip of Shirley's feedback to James, on ITT, and she said something along the lines of - dance from your feet up, your legs, your arms and so on. It made it sound like he was getting nothing right, that he had to work on absolutely everything! And again, contrast that to what she has said to Jayde to work on, basically nothing.

BIB - I'm laughing - we need to interrupt our schedule as Jayde has been eliminated from Strictly 😁... all programmes will now run fifteen minutes behind for tonight.

Somewhere Caroline Quentin is saying "It's only a dance show"

I'm sorry but why isn't she dancing? It can't be her size as Lisa Riley always danced and didn't just walk in her stint.
I cannot remember, but when Lisa Riley danced, did she make a thing about her size? I remember her as being very good, and she must have put a lot of hard work in because she shed pounds. I don’t think being overweight (am I still allowed to use that word ) is a hindrance to being able to dance well, but perhaps being on the heavy side bone-wise is. On a previous post I made it obvious I knew nothing about Jayde, had never heard of her, so presumed she was gay because she was dancing with a woman. I went to an all-girl school, and when it came to learning to dance, I was heartbroken for the bigger girls who had to take the part of the man. It must have crushed their self esteem. So for a woman to ask to undertake the traditionally male role is beyond my comprehension. I daresay younger women on here will say this is all bollocks, but we are products of our time and I was in school in the sixties.

Honestly, I would much rather Tony got to stay than Will however far that may be.

Will makes a mistake and tries to blame everyone and everything but himself and to me is the worst case of doesn’t actually want to be there I’ve seen in years. He then goes on itt and clearly the wider media and complains and moans looking for sympathy for things that others didn’t even mention and just got on with.

Tony however is what Strictly is all about. No he’s not the best dancer by any sense of the word but you can really tell he’s trying with everything he has and has learned to enjoy something that he was scared of.

Lisa was more of the "I'M REALLY FUN AND HERE FOR A REALLY GOOD TIME!" type of personality, and she threw herself wholeheartedly into everything the dances demanded of her without really making a meal of it, whatever she may have felt in private.

It was a different era of the show though, the current producer seems a lot more invested in the journey and sentiment and slightly X Factor style sob stories than they were back then. I recall Lisa doing a lot of comedy VT sketches with Robin, and cringing slightly, but they both seemed to have had a nice, cheerful time that year.

And experiences in childhood are very formative, so I can see where you are coming from. (There's a reason I get very panicked and run away at the merest hint of a celidh, thanks to 8 years of increasingly horrendous country dancing with handsy boys at my very Catholic school.)

Absolutely agree @fluffycow172

I will be sad to see Tony leave, I hope it won't happen until others such as Jayde, James, the Ellies and possibly Kym have gone. I think he probably has support from his footballing career that will keep him out of the dance off, in addition to him being so likeable and obviously working really hard.

He also takes the criticism well. I mean, getting a 2, that had to be disheartening when he had gone all out, gave the most entertaining performance of the night (for me anyway) and even stripped off! 😁🤣

Kym also strikes me as not really wanting to be there… anyone else?

I really hope at some point the producers have a word with the pros and stop all the gushing over use of the word proud. For example.. Graziano doing a Gorka with Kym on the couch on ITT last night, the pep talk / therapy session. I get that it's an achievement to learn a dance but that's all they've done, they haven't performed open heart surgery fgs! It's supposed to be a light entertainment show!

This made me lol, it's so true.

I thought Nancy did that bit well, in fairness, she said he's my winner and left it at that. It was tactful and not over the top.
I think Kym doesn't actually know where to look when Graziano starts. 😁.

I think the difference now is that we're trying to move away from fat being a bad thing and that fat is just a description not a slur or an insult. And because fat girls in school were told they couldn't do this that and the other it's more empowering to own it and be like, I'm too big to be lifted but duck it, I can do the lifts. When Lisa did it everyone would have been afraid to mention her size until it came to praising her for her weight loss. 1That kind of praise on anyone always made me feel uncomfortable because I remember Louisa Lyton who was miniscule as it was being praise by, I think it was Arlene, for losing weight. Not good.

The idea that Jayde puts forward in general seems to be that it doesn't matter if she's fat, and it doesn't. Some awful people have too many opinions about other people's bodies as the comments under her videos will show.

It is a shame Jayde has been overly emotional and, you know, not that good of a dancer, because I think that message would have been powerful if she kind of stuck to that as her purpose on the show. (If she was better)
