Did the ITT panel watch a different Jayde dance to us? Owain was absolutely raving about her
I hope I don’t offend anyone by saying this because it’s really not my intention. I think everyone is thinking “aw she’s a big girl so she IS doing well, for someone of her size” but I don’t think it should be like that. I’m not as overweight as Jayde but I am carrying a lot more weight than I would like, and I would struggle massively. I also wouldn’t want to be judged to a different standard as everyone else - of course everybody should be choreographed to their ability BUT I don’t think she’s giving it her all.

I really thought when she signed up she wouldn’t want to be singled out and treated differently for her weight but now I’m not so sure. Hamza is a big guy but that salsa last week would have left folk a few stone lighter than him struggling. The QS is tough so we’ll see tonight if he struggles and if he does, will the Judges patronise and overmark him?

I really hope at some point the producers have a word with the pros and stop all the gushing over use of the word proud. For example.. Graziano doing a Gorka with Kym on the couch on ITT last night, the pep talk / therapy session. I get that it's an achievement to learn a dance but that's all they've done, they haven't performed open heart surgery fgs! It's supposed to be a light entertainment show!

Already dreading tonight's emotional rehash 'Victoria Wood was in inspiration, she made me realise that big women can dance, and be comediennes, and do lifts".
Hate specials because they bring out VTs of celebs wishing them luck for dancing a theme of a programme they featured in a long time ago.
So far we've had Angie from EE, Actor from Line of Duty, Duffy from casualty, Dr Who from Dr who.
So we need Shep from blue peter, Siralan from apprentice, Victoria Woods' nan (failing that, national treasure Julie Walters), Zammo from Grange Hill, Sam Ryder or Graham for eurovision - maybe the Ukrainian president, and so on...

(I reckon Angela Rippon will be an additional judge tonight - she should be!)

I’m expecting another outing for the ‘she ran so we could walk’ comment she she said on ITT.

She is being patronised and she either hasn’t realised or doesn’t care because she isn’tmaking the same effort as other larger contestants. Maybe you can’t help being a bit more flat footed but you can put some more energy into it, it’s like she’s marking it out even in the performance.

I haven’t seen any of the training footage, but if anything is going to showcase a lack of energy and effort it’s a Charleston, and the judges comments will make clear whether there’s an ‘agenda’.

Kym has received feedback on her perceived slowness, so it will be interesting to see if Jayde receives the same comments (that’s assuming, of course, that she doesn’t knock it out of the park. There’s still a teeny percentage of me that’s hanging on to the hope that she’ll turn out to be the dancer I’d hoped she was going in)

Please, please i beg thee strictly🙏 no more emotional tripe.

Tonight in the clauditorium, a celeb said
"she laughed, she loved, she lived...so that we could follow in her footsteps and shine, and not stand in the shadows"...in honour of their pet llama who couldn't be in the audience today because all the tickets were taken up by the other celebs' nans

I have decided I really cannot stand Jayde and I would like her to go tomorrow night. She’s the worst dancer left too. In fact I think she’s the worst dancer of the lot.

I cannot bear her either and the judges bias towards her "walking" hasn't helped, especially when they are imo, unduly harsh to other who are actually dancing. Won't be sad to see her go, can you imagine the production that will be. The BBC better have a least an extra 15mins for her tearful and gushing goodbyes.

You’ve triggered a memory - remember the pished pub landlady that did a message for John last year?

BRING HER BACK

She just makes the biggest deal out of everything. That does not include her sisters death I just cannot imagine how hard that is for her.
That’s it she just walks along and the judges love it when you’ve woken like Helen and Kym giving it their all and don’t get the comments she gets. That’s not Jaydes fault but I just cannot warm to her her at all.

Saturday again! Exciting!!! After watching ITT I agree with what has been said, I follow Jayde on Insta and thought she would be better fun than she has turned out… Karen danced around her in that footage for sure so I would be ok to see her go, also the Ellies really do nothing for me , Will the grinch can bugger off too!! I would like to see Tony go to Blackpool, I really like Helen (&Gorka) and adore Hamza 💕 I actually hope he wins the whole thing!

I'd certainly have preferred to see Molly and Carlos or Helen and Gorka do an Argentine Tango to Red Right Hand than what they got... :(

It's been long enough since Joe and Dianne's they could have done it again. That's one dance I've long wished had been done by a better couple, or as a pro dance. It was good, but that theme/song could have been really amazing with better dancers.

And the thing is: Victoria Wood would have hated such trite, sickly sentimental platitudes as that.

She would have mocked it relentlessly, probably via the medium of song while Julie Walters did a little tap dance behind her.
Eeee, Luv … you’re titting about on the tele on a Sat’dy night doing flappy arms to a comedy song, dressed in a jhuzzed up bri-nylon nightie
there is no deep meaning to it.
