They used to do these big group dances on that show. Maybe one of them was to this song? I don't know. My memories of it are very vague from it being on in the background in my Granny's.

I think it’s been used a few times … didn't Laura And Gio dance to it?

That's another thing that’s not really very good … how many of the music choices have actually been used before? So lazy for something touted as being so special and celebratory.

It feels like Ballroom Blitz has been done to death, but it looks like it was only Laura and Gio and this pro/celeb dance that used it. Maybe because it was also used in the 2019 Pro tour, and it's always part of Burn the Floor, and Michael and Jowita and Oti danced to it on the Greatest Dancer 🤔

I think that’s what let’s them down. They decided this was a good idea but instead of making it an even playing field they’re pushing it as far as they can for a tenuous link for some of the dancers and royally shafting some of the others.

I bet when she signed up, they asked Ellie T what her dance experience was and she jokingly said about her and her sister dancing to Casualty and now it’s coming back to haunt her!

Superfan #1 Richie will be lol-ing, reminding himself that everything happens for a reason or else he’d be dancing a jive to the theme tune to Songs of Praise

Thank you all for your replies re Ballroom Blitz. :)

Not sure if the old 'Come Dancing' programme would ever have danced to such riotous music as Ballroom Blitz. It was more a leaisurely waltz around the floor rather than a floor stamping free for all.

Now I think about it, the only link is that the Burn the Floor theatre tour this year did their finale to this song, however surely that is not licence to use it as a BBC theme tune. 🤪

This week's 'themed' show seems to be hanging on the least tenuous link with the music. Come on BBC you can do better than this. The 'Soul Limbo' tune from the BBC cricket would be more suitable this week, perhaps for a samba.

Apparently Graham Swann already danced to it with Oti. I'd forgotten it along with most of their dances apart from that faffing abaht on treadmills.

This is going to be an absolute bag of piss.
Also, why did Nadiya talk as if Matt is someone from the mafia " nobody really knows you" neither do you love

Did anyone else get the vibe Dianne and Max couldnt stand each other?
I don't know if they couldn't stand each other but I definitely got the feeling he was only there because he had to be. Funny that's the impression you got because she still gets accused of cheating on Joe with him to this day.

It’s just been announced that Rose will be making her West End debut in this, which looks very cool. Josie Rourke is a great director.
