Me too! I can’t lie, I had a little cry (and I read the spoiler hours ago!) he just seems so lovely. When he said “I wish my mum and my sister were here”, it broke me

I like Jayde as a comedian and as a writer but she is going across a bit of a dick with the whole “ strictly means so much to me because of my sister” stuff. But in terms of dancing , I don’t think she’s any worse than Ellie T or James. I reckon they should be the next 3 out - probably Ellie next week ( because no doubt it will be a jokey dance with them both dressed as paramedics) ,then Jayde then James .

I don’t think Jayde getting overmarked is part of a BBC conspiracy to keep the “ pc brigade “ happy, but I do think she benefits from Shirley using her as her token woman to be nice to to try and stop people calling out her mean girl marking . I agree that her and Karen are a bit over the top with each other but I wonder how much of that is Karen feeling able to have fun with her partner without it ending up in romance rumours , particularly if it is her last series

I felt terrible for Jayde when she was crying while talking to Claudia, she clearly was and still is devastated and it was hard to watch. But it was a bit annoying when Anton said he doesn't care about the name of the dance, the technique etc. If that's the case, Jayde and Karen might as well have spent the week doing nothing. She obviously did put work in to learn the steps and practice so why not critique her on it?

I think he’s got a bit of class about him I’m probably a bit over sensitive, but I hate it when people overcelebrate whilst others are still waiting to hear their fate. My family think I’m bonkers when I say that though
Absolutely gutted for Matt. What a sweet, gentle soul he turned out to be; and his partner and the other contestants seemed to genuinely love him.

I’m with you - shouting and screeching and not saying thank you are big no nos from me. As much as Dull James and Amy the Banshee rip my knitting, I did think they couldn’t hear their names being called out.

I demand to see Tom Fletcher’s phone bill, it’s the only way they’re getting votes. James is what beige would look like if it could dance

That was just beautiful and so sincere. He had just started to come out of his shell, I think Nadiya was a lovely partner for him also. She seems so gentle and kind.

Agree with comments that Will is coming across very badly. I'm giving him a pass this week cos he was obviously very ill and I did feel quite bad for him but if he doesn't lighten up next week I'm officially withdrawing my support

I am delighted for them and I liked what she said about how being in the dance off made her want to be back. Even Shirley couldn't fault her tonight.

I notice that Shirley seldom acknowledges the female pros.
She said to Jayde last week something about 'your partner'...as though she didn't know her name. And she didn't acknowledge or praise her at all.

She seems to acknowledge most of the male pros and praise them.

I wondered if James thought Tessbot had said Jayde at first.

I'm gutted wee Matt is out. He really summed up Strictly. Not a brilliant dancer but tried so hard, appreciated it and was really improving. I loved the way he would stand furiously concentrating on the judges comments and taking it all in.
Even my husband, who hates everyone watched his leaving speech and said 'he seems a lovely kind thoughtful man' which made me blub a bit. OH said he had thought Matt might be a cocky gobshite because of the ex popstar bit - but obviously was the opposite.
I'm glad Matt realised how much the public had taken to him.
I've always liked him since he followed me back on twitter (must be really riveting for him ) - I followed him after the documentary as I thought he was genuinely intriguing and eccentric.

I felt myself getting quite emotional at Matt tonight. The guy has been through a hell of a lot both physically and mentally throughout his life and I hope this experience has helped him in some way. Seeing the other pros/celebs and the audience on their feet and cheering for him when he danced tonight was lovely to see. So many of them saying lovely things about him on instagram too which says a lot about his character

Aw, all the love for Matt is Would love for him to have had a couple more weeks to blossom a bit more.

Shame for celebs who truly want to learn and progress, and have the time and freedom to give it their full attention, as opposed to not having the time and not looking the least bit arsed about being there.

Shirley has posted a clip of her son dancing on DWTS to The Simpsons theme. I'm pretty sure it's exactly rhe same choreography as Dianne and Max- yet no one has mentioned this in her comments! Anyone else noticed this? I'm sure Shirley was on the show when Max was there as he would be right up her street!! <sorry to go a bit off topic of tonight's show>
