The DS mole revealed some of next week's dances which were announced tonight apparently. Some mental choices for BBC Centenary week o_O
Jayde & Karen dancing Charleston to Victoria Wood’s Ballad Of Barry & Freda

Ellie & Johannes dancing to Casualty theme tune

Will & Nancy have Viennese Waltz

James & Amy have Foxtrot (this is likely to be to Eastenders theme tune as in the ‘next week’ VT an Eastenders Foxtrot & Doctor Who Tango were mentioned)

Tony & Katya are doing Cha Cha to Grandstand theme tune

Molly & Carlos have Couple’s Choice

Dancing to the
casualty theme
Just makes me think of that Inside No 9 episode where
the stripper dressed as the paramedic strips to that same tune!!

Haven't read any of the above in case of spoilers or comments to spoilers I can understand, so here's my take.

Luba was wearing the most sexy of dresses and genuinely, I was drawn to her smile way before that. What a woman.

Hamza, just wow. Serious strength with the Gorilla Press (look it up non wrestling fans :) ) and a fantastic mover. Seems a great guy too.
Loved Tony's routine as I'm both biased and think he did pretty well for real.
Felt a little awkward when Gorka spoke about Helen's issues the past week and it seemed a surprise to her too. Not sure she appreciated it but obviously haven't a clue over that.
Someone needs to fire anyone who throws pine cones or profiteroles on Motsi's head before she goes out.
Does Craig have a problem with Matt? He was not that bad, that wasn't a half marks only dance (Overall, I know Craig gave him 3).
Fleur did extremely well, what an AT! Literally sizzled.
The Couples Choice left me cold. Shite music which I expected from the moment Tyler mentioned Garage. I anticipated a pile of crap from gangster wannabees and wasn't disappointed followed by breakdancing from a primary school disco.
Thought Jayde was overmarked again, but I also think the BBC are desperate for a same sex win so not surprised.

Did the band go wrong during the opening? Several times it seemed they went off key or played the wrong bit. Then again, the neighbours were playing their usual shite.

The Couples Choice really reminded me of Jonah and his crew in Summer Heights High 😂
Jayde is always overmarked. She just seems to walk around. If she hasn't gone tonight tomorrow I really hope Karen at least tries to introduce some speed and pep to the routines. Just so boring now. She will have to get more sprightly for the jive or charleston.

I'd like them to assign Jayde a Jive. Frankly, that dance will either expose her true lack of ability or she'll step it up.

(Haven't read spoilers and she may have gone last night tbf so this could be academic anyway 😂) I get that it is tricky to be very harsh on somebody who clearly has physical limitations - but there has to be a point where she can't keep going through on goodwill and 'well done for getting up off the floor'. It is a dance competition and I just don't see much dance from her so far. Lots of walking and marching around.
I like Karen but she needs to really start pushing Jayde more. It all seems a bit safe so far.
And the judges overmarking is not helping her. All seems a bit patronising - 'ah well done. You tried. Look at us being inclusive'.

Kym has always come across as the ultimate mean girl to me.

That video online of her 'doing the deed' put me off her. I'm definitely not a prude but some things should remain private.

Hamza is a big lad but he isn't shying away from the fast routines. I hate that Jayde seems to be getting an easy ride. Does she have a condition that is responsible for her extra weight?

Missed most of last night as staying with family and arrived late after motorway delays 😩

Caught up and just loved Hamza- such a great dance, he looked so natural and was just enjoying it. Jowita is a really exciting pro too, great addition and glad she got her chance with a partner.

I don’t think Gorka had any ill intention with his speech- I think he’s genuinely furious for her. He’s speaking in his second language too. In some ways, I know she doesn’t want a fuss but I wonder if holding in all the emotion is affecting how she can emote in her dances.

I have the strong suspicion that we’re going to look back on next week’s show as something that absolutely did not work.

This is from the press release about it:
Celebrating 100 years of the BBC, the fun-filled new themed episode will see each of the couples take to the Strictly ballroom floor, either dancing to a theme tune from an iconic BBC programme or in tribute to one of the BBC’s most loved services

How many iconic BBC theme tunes are there that will actually suit a dance? And what does dancing “in tribute” to the BBC look like? This sounds like one of those ideas that should never have left the drawing board.
