  • Amidst a set of fairly blandly likable frontrunners this year, have to respect Will's commitment to drama by turning up looking like crap and in an utterly foul mood, hacking and spluttering everywhere, and on the verge of offering Craig to go out behind the bins to have a respectful talk about his mental health. Can't help feel that the laudable message of his dance, about taking care of yourself and not being afraid to ask for help when you're suffering, was undermined slightly by him Typhoid Maurice'ing around the studio and almost setting off a new international pandemic all on his own. I don't think the dance was as bad as it got pegged, but male rumbas rarely are. Gotta keep that bad reputation up I guess, really scare guys off expressing themselves.

Sadly a similar vote got JJ very far despite also being in a completely milquetoast partnership. Amy really needs to step it up, at least she tried to with Karim but her choreo with JJ & James has been a snooze fest, not to mention the bizarre pairing with Tom.
 
It was probably right Matt left he was only going to struggle more as the weeks went on. I said earlier kym could be in trouble and heading for the DO. She’s mid table without any kind of sob story (and at 46 she’s not old enough to be doing it for the granny’s because she’s a grandmother if you didn’t know 🙄😂) So she’s in real trouble if she has a bad dance.

Yeah at this point I'd rather they'd replaced Amy with Lauren and given her a go with James this year. She would probably have produced something less drearily predictable than that QS.

This was the first week I liked him, and he seemed to be enjoying himself rather than being gvself conscious. But I think I'd rather he went than any of the others.

I had quite a row with him on DS when it first became apparent that he was stealing the work of the DS spoiler team and passing it off as his own. He’s an odious, self-important little twunt

I wonder if they fear a Gorka style backlash if they didn't give Amy a partner.

I guess I'm just disappointed, they had one of my favourite Quickstep songs and it should have been more interesting.
