To be fair the Strictly team would have chosen to come down to film at the marathon; the contestants don't decide what happens in the VT's.

I mean let's say it was a bad dance people would be saying the opposite ''oh look how they mentioned and filmed the marathon to get sympathy''.

You cant win either way.

Oh I get that, and the VT filming is fair enough...it is a big deal. It was more Tess and Claudia mentioning it about 20 times in 5 minutes...
I'm clearly exaggerating but it felt like the word "marathon" was said A LOT
