After the jive when she said “I just wish my mum was here” and broke down was one of the few times I found her to be genuine. I didn’t warm to her at all and found her quite insincere but you’re right, everyone else knew she wouldn’t win.
That would have an impact, 100%. I don’t think that’s the cut of Gorka’s jib though, I think he’d be professional.

Don’t judge but Catchphrase is my guilty pleasure and Alexandra was on it and she came across well. She didn’t win that either

I think she should have deferred until the following year. I’m sure I read her mum died the morning of the launch show and I’m sure Strictly would have let her do it the following year (surely they must have standby people or they could have made it work given the circumstances). However I do get she might have wanted to soldier on for her mum.
I remember them saying they were planning on going for over Christmas but then Omicron hit. I think it’s just unfortunate timings, they both have a lot of work on throughout the year and then whenever they had free time covid was at its worst. It’s a shame but they might go once Gorka’s finished touring with Karen and before the pro tour starts.
Yeah, I saw stuff about people cancelling Christmas holidays because they were worried about having to miss work and quarantine if they had a positive PCR before flying back. Who knows

Yep Claudia is brilliant in that situation, while Tess falls to pieces. Bruce would have dealt with it wonderfully too.the second hand embarrassment of it all!!!
