I agree, I’ve always been on their side with regards to them having a genuine friendship.. now I don’t know what to think, I always say they of course don’t need to be joined at the hip 24/7 and I know they don’t particularly post a lot on social media but they literally are never seen together on their own stories or other peoples, Gio shared a picture of them both then deleted it within minutes of posting it on the first night of the tour and Rose has put multiple posts on since the beginning of the tour without hardly any notice of Gio.

I really do hope they were both genuine with their friendship because it did come across they got along really well during their time on strictly. Would be a shame if it was all an act for the sake of the glitter ball when they apparently didn’t even have their minds set on it when they started the journey it was more about raising awareness for the deaf community

I think their friendship was genuine but I didn’t vote for them because they were good pals - her indifference to his lothario-ness made for a better relationship imo. Everyone was training in different places before and they were probably being encouraged not to mix with the other contestants except in the studio so they’re maybe getting more time with other folk.

I don’t think they’ll spend much time in each other’s company from now on, I think Rose’s career will take off too. Whatever it was it worked and I think it was the right partnership.

I am sure they are friends: they seem to get on well in their videos etc. He just doesn't seem to hang out much with her or others. Maybe planning his tour, as someone on DS said, or texting instababes. He definitely overegged their relationship in the final with all the Romeo + Juliet stuff, when the reality appears to be they are mates who prefer to hang out with other people in their downtime.

I don't think it was an act, but I do I think they'll probably end up being like most Strictly pairings - get on great during the show, stay friends, but don't really see much of each other once it's over. Not that we really know much about them, but on the surface, they don't seem to have much in common?

Also he doesn't seem to meet up with the ones he's stayed friends with much - Faye, Michelle, and Debbie (all part of his fanclub). At least they have rarely been pictured together. Suggests he moves on and is quite happy to keep them at a distance, even if he is fond of them.

Never forget the time I made a comment about him having lots of girlfriends on the strictly page and upset an OAP who’s profile picture is him and her and she said she was beside herself due to the comment pathetic

Faye and Michelle appeared on his lives but they don't seem to hang out - you KNOW Michelle would document that as if her life depended on it. There is zero sense that he sees Debbie, though she still loves him, and he and Ranvir don't appear to talk now. Not saying he's a monster, he just moves on, which makes certain showmance-y elements much more striking. If anything, I think Rose is the partner he will stay in touch with and hang out with most.
Anyway, the others (without Gio) were out at their Chinese lunch today. They seem to be having a right laugh - interesting that Neil is always in the thick of things. People seem to really like him!

I disagree. I think he might have played up to the showmance rumours but I think Gio has a lot of love and respect for Rose.

Giovanni’s been auditioning dancers with Anton for their new tour. (I was confused about him and Anton as a pairing) He has three back to back tours in the first half of this year - too busy to jump in cold rivers. I think Rose is enjoying hanging out properly with the others. Doesn’t mean they aren’t mates.

Why would Gio want to do 3 tours in one year plus presumably the SCD series as well? He’ll surely be fine with an early exit so he can actually recharge his batteries. The dancers seem to work bloody hard on and off Strictly, it must be an exhausting life.

He’s got the strictly tour, then one with Anton then one on his own - it’s definitely a packed schedule which I was surprised at but making money while he can I guess.

No - don’t do DS. I’m astounded myself at my knowledge of the tours, have gone down wormhole of 2022 strictly adjacent dance shows and there are so many.

I think the lack of touring in 2020 & 2021 has meant the pros are doing as much as they can, I don’t blame them.

Let’s not forget Gio did Lanistar ads every Tuesday before Strictly to make money... if a reality star does it they are mocked !!
(However I accept dancers have a short career so although I can’t stand the guy you do you Gio hun!! )
One point I agree with from the new poster on DS Gio forums is that the celebs AJ and Ranvir got away with more followers and reputation intact after the shownances but the pros involved got trashed as sleazes.
