Every so often the world of TV will over expose somebody, normally someone who is actually good at what they do, but just that you don't want to see them constantly. Oti is good, and a personality for panel shows and the like, just don't over do it. Although, she isn't my cup of tea, seems a bit full on for me, and would scare me being partnered with her on SCD.

Rylan is another at a point of over exposure for me. He's a great presenter and deserves the success, just don't over do it.

Claire Balding had a period where she seemed to present everything that was female sport, animal and country related. She's a great presenter, just too much.
 
I do like Oti, but I'm now finding myself switching over whenever she pops up on TV. I completely get why she would say yes to stuff like The Masked Dancer and a radio 2 gig, but two different daytime shows on two different channels several times a week, and what feels like literally every single panel show?

Maybe it's a case of making hay while the sun shines and being scared of turning stuff down? I think her profile is good enough now for her to be a bit more selective
 
Oti is definitely a very talented dancer and one of the few pros in the current generation who has properly impressed me as a teacher/choreographer. I can 100% give her that and believe she'll do well post Strictly.

But I completely agree with the others, she's overexposed at this point, sometimes more is less and I'm bored of always seeing her in the latter half of the competition and being the only pro who really gets outside gigs so is always on TV.

The BBC have created a situation where she isn't on a level playing field with the other pros. They aren't getting all of these outside gigs (OK, the more extrovert types like Janette & Katya sometimes pop up for Morning Live but that's it). They're making her more likely to get votes as she'll gain a larger fanbase and I don't think that's fair to the other pros who probably don't get the same offers. To me, that's kinda favouritism. She's also had a great run with partners, 6 series and no real duds. Pretty lucky as decent male celebs can often be far and few between. Her only dud was on the German show. Look at any other female pro in the current lineup and they'll have all had at least one. And a ratio of 3 finals out of 6 as well, no other female pro has had that except for Aliona but even she had the likes of Gregg Wallace & Tony Jacklin in her non final years whereas Oti got the likes of Jonnie Peacock who despite not being a finalist, was always going to be pencilled in to stay for several weeks - young, good looking, athletic and inspiring story.

Also to add to that her sister is a judge on the show as well!!! They both appeared together on celeb gogglebox before she got the job. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I don't really take issue with Motsi judging while Oti is a pro, her scores don't appear to have been biased and she isn't really there to judge Oti, more about the celeb.

Then again, I do get it and also know that some would have been angry if Joanne judged while Kevin was a pro so there may be double standards.

Yeah my issue is not to do with her sister overscoring her on the show only that it adds to the over saturation of the mabuse name.

And the fact that as a judge Motsi is seriously underwhelming and doesn't offer any technical advice or suggestions. Instead its all whooping and talking about energy. As a professional dancer you'd expect her to give more. Get rid this season and bring on Anton

They all present themselves as a happy family but that's a bit contrived really. Wouldn't surprise me if some were a bit jealous. Everyone wants the maximum amount of success so it must be frustrating if all gigs go to one person.

On one hand I imagine they’re happy for their colleagues success. However I think there’s bound to be some degree of jealousy by some especially the more popular long term pros like Janette and Karen. But with some of the others I don’t think think are all that bothered. They do strictly because they love to dance and teach dance and aren’t there to seek some kind of post show tv personality career. The tv personality thing is just an added bonus.

I wouldn’t say she has never had any duds - she was certainly never going to win with Anthony Ogogo - the most memorable thing about his dancing was his trousers splitting! Graeme Swann was better than I expected but he would never have won. She did amazing choreography with Johnnie Peacock but I would’ve been shocked if they won too. Danny and Kelvin have been her only certs imo but I agree, the fact she got so far with Graeme and Johnnie and possibly won with Bill is probably due to her appearing everywhere you go as much as anything else
