Honestly, I didn’t know who he was by name. When I saw a picture I recognised him from The Crown. For me the biggest names they’ve announced this year are Dan Walker (as I feel most people know who he is), and Robert Webb. I spent most of my uni years watching and re-watching peep show.

I’ve never understood the whole “they aren’t even famous” thing. I don’t know the CBBC people, but that’s because I don’t have children not because they aren’t famous The whole point is to attract a wide range of people as it’s a family entertainment show. It would be a bit boring if it was just people who appealed to one demographic.

I think like you. I didn’t know Joe Sugg but got to know him and he’s pretty damn famous in the scheme of things/by numbers. And Caroline Flack was definitely a ‘who?’ for the majority of strictly’s audience to begin with

She had a family cooking programme on CBBC and did a series of cooking from their home with her Dad. She has over 9 million followers on Tik Tok so they are looking to them to attract viewers and voters.

Wow they are really dragging the tedium out this year aren't they.

Just announce them all in the papers in one go already.

I don't care for this slowly dripping tap approach. Not when it's still ages until the show hits the screens and any of these so called celebrities (well quite a few of them are questionable) could still have to drop out before then.
