Seen that too but it wasn’t true. She’s not friends with a wag lol her friend Laura lowkey dated Angus MacDonald for 6 months. Angus is supposedly dating Rachel from season 2 love island.

Oh I totally agree the pros deserve far more for the actual show. I definitely think judges should take a pay cut even if it was only 1 or 2 series the amount Shirls is allegedly paid makes me sick she could definitely take 50% cut and still be completely comfortable.This would allow the pros to get a much deserved pay rise especially after over half their incomes have vanished for two years.
In a normal year they’re mostly all on over £100K.

Those who tour get about another £60K(on top of the £50K show wage) assuming they do jan tour/a headline of their own or as a group/pro tour.
The cruises and those Alton towers resort weekends that Janette and Aljaz do all pay pretty handsomely for the amount of work involved.

This isn’t including any over revenues like pre existing dance studios, any type of social media presence or general tv work. There’s a reason so may have started up zoom dance class over the last year good regular source of income and no outgoing costs such as studio rentals and can reach more people.

I’m still genuinely surprised he’s never won. Out of his six partners, the only two I thought ‘no chance’ were Laura Whitmore and Michelle Visage - Ranvir wasn’t his most capable partner but he still took her far and a lot of people seemed to buy into their showmance. He seems really popular so I’m not sure what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

Georgia, Faye & Ranvir were all up against fairly popular winners/finalists, none had a high enough share of the votes to win. Georgia may have taken it in another year. I'd have been up for a Faye win and did vote for them in the final but sadly that year was always meant to be for Kevin/Stacey.

Debbie could have taken it I guess. I don't recall Joe McFadden being that exciting of a winner and she seemed reasonably popular.

I think Debbie and Faye although older were probably still seen as ringers(which does have a tendency to put off voters in the final) due to their extensive prior experience. I found Georgia rather unlikable but I don’t think she had a chance against Jay. I think they’ll probably give him a Kevin “storyline” soon and he’ll end up winning then leaving.

As for him and Maura I’m still kinda thinking it could be a PR thing. I’ve also a really really horrible 1AM and should probably be asleep type thought. That they could have her signed up for the next series and want to do a real life couple like they apparently tried to do with Dianne and Anthony in 2018.

We were lucky enough to get tickets in the ballot when Debbie and Gio did their rumba and it was stunning live. I think that was when Joe and Katya did their Paso (but tbh the stand out memory was Anton and Ruth’s samba when she appeared out from his costume!) but I did think Debbie would win that year. I did like Joe and he did improve as the weeks went on but he was a surprising win for me

Luckily her DOI appearance near enough 100% rules that one out.

Ooh I didn’t know that about Dianne and Anthony, I suppose it’s a different twist…but I hope they don’t run with it. I think that would be quite dull

Can you just imagine the producers faces. They're planning a first couples pairing with Dianne and Anthony and instead she ends up dating her actual dance partner instead 😂

I'm sure I'm being too harsh but Maura and Giovanni is just screaming showmance to me. I really like them both but this publicity just feels a bit off, especially at the timing of the new love Island

Joe was quite an underwhelming winner in a standout series imo - lots of entertaining contestants and three female finalists who were great in their own ways. I remember when Joe had the best betting odds in that final week, but never really got why - he was fine, but just a bit bland. I guess perhaps the usual Strictly problem of quite mediocre male contestant looked on more favourably by the public? I thought Debbie should have won too

Genuinely really jealous you got to see Ruth's samba 😆
