Definitely a wonderful addition. Have to wonder what the long term will bring and if they actually bring Bruno back next year or if they’ll have a big rethink and keep Anton on as a judge permanently.

Hopefully he will settle into the judging role and not feel the need to be dishing out unwarranted high scores. Nice to have a ballroom expert on the panel.
 
God no...even forgetting his politics and potential anti semitism, he has no personality or energy at all

I actually like Anton but I do agree his scores were overly generous last year. I would like to think his scoring was like that because he knew he was only doing the judging on a temporary basis and didn’t want to rock the boat amongst his peers (fellow dancers) as he would be back in the fold again not long after.

Now he’s going to be a judge for an entire series hopefully he will score a bit more honestly and be more consistent

Remember when Jennifer Grey was a guest judge, everyone got 9s 😳

I agree, he did overmark last year and hopefully as you say he’ll carve out his own firm but fair way of scoring.
 
Very happy for Anton. I do think he was very generous with his scoring last time however that may have been due to the fact it was only a one off and it was almost half was through the series, I can’t see him handing out 8/9’s in week 1 😂 I do wonder who will be the unfortunate pro that ends up with the old duffer every year now, unless they are going to stop going down that route now…

I suspect it might be Neil who will now be on duffer duty

Courtney Act is funny but took the dancing seriously and also danced as Shane. Baga is not prime time BBC 1 family show material. There would be so many warnings about suitable content.

I've been critical of Neil in the past but if they're going to keep him to be the "new Anton", he at least deserves one run to the final first.

I'd say Aljaž should take over Anton's role - for starters, he's well overdue an older contestant but also has the right personality and dance style for that job, nice ballroom and not as focused on the latin. And he already has a win.
