I really don't understand why Strictly is bending over backwards to try and keep Bruno on the show. He costs them a fortune, and for the last few years has seemed completely disinterested - I get why they don't want to be seen to let anyone go during a pandemic, but last year just showed how much they don't need him. I'm still not entirely sold on Anton as a judge, but let's face it, he can't be a pro for too much longer and they need to find him something else to do

I don't think anyone is bigger than the show, but Craig would be a huge loss if he ever decided to leave. So let's hope that never happens 🤞
I don’t understand why Strictly do a lot of things tbh, they frequently make decisions that make absolutely no sense😂

I presumed they'd be the 'real' person rather than the act, but who knows?

There's been a trend for using stage names and personas more recently (like HRVY) — in the past he'd have just been Harvey Cantwell!

When Courtney Act did DWTS in Australia they were their drag persona, I presume it would be the same here.

Speaking of HRVY, colour me shocked by the story today that he played up rumours of a showmance with Maisie, next you'll be telling me that Ranvir and Giovanni aren't actually a thing 😂

I don't think anyone bought his alleged fauxmance. He's got the sex appeal of a paper clip

I'm just imagining it being announced in Alan Dedicoat's voice. :D

Drag Queen and television personality Baga Chipz and her partner [pro partner]

Dancing the rumba, will Baga Chipz and [pro partner] please take to the floor...

I've never actually watched Drag Race. Why don't you think Baga would be right?

From what I've seen of Baga her brand is very much "cheap slag" (I really wish there was better phrasing for this and I certainly don't mean to cause offence!) which is fine for drag race but that sort of humour won't translate well to a show like strictly, at least not in my opinion... I haven't seen much of what Baga has done out of drag race though so I could be wrong.

Baga has done some prime time/early evening tv in the last year. So although her character is can be a
bit common, There’s an awareness of what’s appropriate. (She’s done “celeb” pointless/master chef/the circle.)
The season two girls haven’t really had a chance to do tv yet and out of the S1 girls who made it to the semifinals/final it would probably be either Baga or Blu hydrangea imo. One of the others is a trained dancer which wouldn’t go down well and I’ve not heard much from the other.

The main issue with casting a drag Queen is height. So many are super tall which would be a potential issue with partnering. Baga is on the shorter side so would probably be okay. Plus she’s not serious and wouldn’t necessarily mind being a comedy act.

About a week late, SCD shared the info about Janette joining ITT on their FB page.

Sadly saw plenty of negativity still being spouted about Rylan - I understand not every presenter is everyone’s cup of tea but he seems to particularly attract criticism with no real reasons given. Wonder why.
I think it could be over-exposure for some folk, he is on a lot of things. I love him but if I didn’t, it might annoy me. Plus there will be snobs who had the way he got famous and probably some homophobia too sadly

My issue with Baga is that she's crude. I loved her on drag race and think she's brilliant but I don't want that on a show my 7yo watches. I'm not sure she'd be able to dial it down enough, it's her brand. Plus I suspect she'd go down the "I'm a crap dancer but I'm funny" route (which she did on Celebrity Masterchef) which I think would be a shame as the first drag artist to do it on the British show when someone else could do it with more style and grace.
