I screenshot part of one that is in the Daily Mail today (and most other publications) but it's taken from an interview that was in The Sun today? However, I did just read The Sun interview and it does say near the end 'Robert was speaking at the Henley Literary Festival earlier this month to promote his memoir How Not to Be a Boy'. So apologies for not checking my sources but as the interview is in all the Sunday papers I assumed it was given this weekend?

I don’t see any ‘badmouthing’ either. Celebrities dancing in sequins for entertainment is ‘weird’, and the training, judging, and social media bitching is ‘brutal’.

Okay I wasn't aware it was an old interview but it is still about strictly. Maybe badmouthing is a bit strong but it sounded like he had a terrible time and hated every second and, given that I was under the impression it was a more recent interview, that does seem a bit disingenuous given his previous departure statement.

The DM article comments about the ‘kiss’ are just purely what’s wrong with today’s society. All pretty much blaming Katya or the girlfriend- not many comments to suggest that he should be the one to leave his girlfriend if he’s not happy, or he should be apologising to the gf (and Katya IMO!) Really grinds my gears that the women get the flack. All we know is it looks like he went in for the smooch- not both of them.
 
AJ’s giving off some rather salty vibes that she wasn’t the best for once

I think she gets very nervous! It is better when celebrities are able to take their mistakes in stride so I would hope it is just that in her case

Speaking personally, I think his initial remarks expressed a transphobia-adjacent sentiment if not outright transphobia. I think this because in my opinion, his initial remarks which kicked off the controversy were inaccurate.

I wish him all the best with his health problems; I felt disappointed by his comments. These are pretty much my feelings towards Robert

I don’t think anybody would agree with medically transitioning a young child the second they express gender non-conforming tendencies but does the charity he was criticising even advocate for that? Seems like he had to backtrack on his comments after speaking to a father whose children had actually benefited from the charity.

We all knew it would happen, there’s no way either she or John could be perfect at every dance. This is the downside of getting high marks early on I guess, people’s expectations are high including their own probably. I don’t think she was anything other than a bit disappointed it hadn’t been her dance?
 
Anyone else think that Katya would be better off making this series her last??

I think after the ‘kiss gate’ scandal it’s not been forgotten about and it’s always going to be brought up now especially she’s been paired with a young fairly good looking guy; and when you have to do these romantic sexy dances at some point, case in point last night. She’s already won the show and she’s probably going to be paired with an older guy or a complete duffer or both next year so a win is unlikely again, this year she may scrape the final if they continue to do well, it’s hard to tell at the moment as Rose, AJ and John seem to be set for it as of now.

Shes won strictly and done damage there it seems she’s flogging a dead horse the longer she stays.
