How dare Kai do his job and be partnered with someone else…

Do these Twitter kids not realise that he will be partnered with a different person who isn’t AJ next year 🥴

Soon they’ll be blaming Rose again for her not being well enough to take part 🤦🏻‍♀️

I really enjoyed Maisie last year so I’m happy they picked her as the replacement. Can’t wait to go and watch them 😆

They are all hoping he gets a duffer such a horrible attitude! Kai has had a brilliant first series, I doubt they will give him a duffer.

I believe Kai will be next in line after Kevin and Gio for getting promising contestants every year until he gets a win. Who knows he may get a duffer we'll have to wait and see. It is unfair though how some pro's get favoured when it comes to get given more capable/likeable contestants.

There always seems to have been favouritism among the male pros when it comes to who gets a decent female celeb, even from the early days. James Jordan was one - 6 above average celebs in a row (some of whom were really good). The good male celebs seem to be more evenly shared around the female pros though Janette & Oti did get a generous share of them.

So that he goes out early, meaning he and AJ can do the Christmas show ( from seeing their convos). I don’t mind either way, I want him to do really well, as I’m sure AJ does too ( she’s his biggest cheerleader this evening, about him and Maisie, which shows what a lovely positive person she is)

Honestly blows my mind! So much can change between now and the end of the tour much less September.

I might start a Baffled by Shippers thread in off topic, I feel like I need some sort of therapy just hearing about it, much less being one 🤯

I can only think they are living vicariously through them via their imaginations? I love AJ and Kai's dances, I will re-watch some of them for a long time to come and I would think ahh lovely if they announced they were together but actually CARE I leave such feelings for the real people in my life.

Shipping is a dangerous game! getting invested in the love lives of strangers, something you have zero control over! At least Kai and AJ are both single and seem somewhat interested in each other. Imagine how forlorn you'd be as a shipper of, say, Tilly and Nikita, or Tom and Amy (though I bet some are lurking in dark corners of the internet...)
 
The AJ/Kai shippers acting like AJ is irreplaceable and Maisie can’t step into her shoes is very odd to me. The nature of Strictly is that the professionals build new partnerships each year. Kai is just doing his job and Maisie was a fantastic contestant; lots of the tour audiences will be excited to see her again. And surely as fans of Kai, they should want him to have the best partners possible both on the tours and on the show.

I get the impression that some of her fans have got an inflated sense of AJ’s prominence on Strictly. There seems to be this sentiment that AJ and Kai were the couple of the 2021 series, her showdance was the big selling point of the tour, Maisie is now stepping into a huge void left by AJ, and AJ must be allowed to return to the Strictly dance floor next series. It was the same way some of them were suggesting they postpone the final for a week or into the New Year so she could compete.

That is very true they forget that Strictly will return with a new cast next year, and the Pros move on too with it. It's a hard crash for some of them.

If my tour tickets don't sell I am very glad it is Maisie who has replaced AJ and I will be happy to see Kai dance live. I find the dance choices for this tour strange, so many great couples and dances yet I find most of the choices disappointing.
Out of all of them them all it's only Rhys and Maises dances that really interest me. Oddly I don't recall ever voting for either of them yet they are the only two that have two decent dances.
Without AJ I can't bring myself to sit through Tilly's stomp dance and flipping Max George!

I’m going to find it emotional without AJ, but at least John and Jojo worth seeing, and of course Kai, who I’m sure will be good with Maisie. The Max part will be my loo break I think!
