IF... Aj can come back from this injury and perform on Saturday night she'll win it! Feel awful for her I wonder when they will make the final call on whether she is good to go or not?

From her insta post it seems she wiling to dance on Saturday even if she gets no rehearsal time however I doubt the BBC will allow her to dance without the go ahead from their own team of Drs & Physio. I reckon they will let us know by Friday evening, if they wait till show day to announce it might cast a shadow over the final.

I’m gutted for AJ and Kai, how disappointing for them. It would be something if Rhys was ready to step in if AJ isn’t well enough

No Strictly are strict about this no returns and they have had a few 2 people finals in the past.

I have a feeling they won't allow her to dance in the final🤔 she would be expected to perform 3 dances with little to no rehearsals, all whilst she can't easily use her foot? Obviously we will have to wait and see what happens but would the producers let her risk further injury?

Last Saturday I really thought they might announce a shock semi final double save. I bet they’re wishing they did now.
I know they do it on Drag race and sometimes bake off - but there is no public vote involved. I understand that they can’t undermine the voting process, people spend money to save their favourites.

It’s the worst case scenario for the show. With no rehearsal and an injury the dances will not be of a standard AJ and Kai can usually do. The judges have to mark it accurately, which is an unkind position for them - also if they aren’t marked but the others are it’s a mockery of the competition element. Having her there effectively as an observer who can’t win is putting her foot under unnecessary stress. A mess all round.

This has been my first year of watching strictly. I love Rose, I think she’s great on Eastenders and she’s been so funny and charming on strictly with great dancing skills and also love her friendship with Gio. She will be a very well deserved winner but I do have to say I’m hoping next years show isn’t so obvious with who is going to win, I like the element of excitement. I also wish the judges would sort their scoring out because it’s a bleeping mess tbh, they give out high scores so often that they become meaningless.

There's not really a good solution for this, is there? I think the best thing for them to do is withdraw and do the tour where she will get lots of exposure and probably win every time. I can see AJ ending up dancing in shows and possibly taking over Claudia/Janette's job one day.

If it wasn’t against the rules someone should say that under the Strictly posts. I hope she can do the tour and take some comfort from the support she is getting.

I will be watching from behind my fingers if she is signed off to dance on Saturday. Even if she can dance, there's no way she will be comfortable and pain free by then.

i will be absolutely the same! like a few others have said so far, i really hope/think that the show will step in before that point. no one wants to see her dancing in pain or to make her injury worse by trying to carry on.

Yeah. The only positive way to spin it is by going hard on the ‘it’s taking part that counts, I’m so glad I get to finish my journey after this awful injury’ angle. Which they could absolutely do - acknowledge that it’s not gonna be up to standard, but embrace the experience anyway.

If she’s cleared by the medical team. If.

Yeah. I don't want to be a massive downer, but I have to say that the prospect of the tour going ahead in the current wave is not great. What a bleeping mess.

I only want AJ to dance if she’s well enough to - she can’t risk any longer term injuries (the fact she’s so fit and healthy hopefully means she’ll have a good recovery time) but as time goes on, I think it’s looking less likely. She’s such a great dancer, it would be awful to watch her being cautious with every step.

I said to my husband last night, there will be comments somewhere on the net saying AJ is doing it for sympathy. They think they’re super fans of Rose and fighting her corner but I think she’d be horrified if she knew people were saying tit like that!

Yeah, I didn't want to say it either but I think you could be right about the tour having to be scrapped. Once again, the UK is doing too little, too late and we all know where that leads...

I do think this isn't the end of AJ's dancing journey though, if anything it'll boost her.

I think the tour will still go ahead. Yes we have this new wave but they can’t shut the entire country down every time a new wave emerges as it’s going to go on forever sadly. I think Boris will just keep emphasizing the importance of vaccines/boosters and the tour will still go ahead (with vaccine passports)

I agree with the tour, she’d be brilliant and deserve the recognition she deserves. But I can’t agree with her taking Claudia or Jeanette’s job, she’s like foghorn.
