I am not sure if this is proper Contemptwaffle because I understand it 😆 but I really like this one of Kai and his ex Guilia. I would love to see this style on Strictly rather than billowing sheets and smoke. Kai is rather gorgeous in this too for the Kai fans.

Wow that is fab. I agree. It would be amazing to have something like that. I suspect the reason they don't is that it's harder than it looks!

Yes I think that's probably why they avoid that sort in order to do it justice it takes a lot more skill than you can learn in 4 days.

Giulia Dotta is awesome I would love to see her on Strictly. I am sad she doesn't appear to be back with DWTS Ireland this year.

That’s because Mr Ex-X Factor producer is currently hosting a team meeting to discuss what the saddest piece of music they can find is, and how many slo-mo sad face shots will be enough for the 20-min ‘The story of AJ’s injury’ VT that they’re putting together to pad out the show and maximise the emotional payoff.

Realistically, though, if they do a VT (complete with pre-injury rehearsal clips, footage of physio visit, etc.), plus a ‘AJ’s best bits’ package and an interview with AJ & Kai, plus a bit more blather before each dance for the other couples and an extra pro dance or two (maybe even an extra musical guest if they can get someone at short notice), they’ll manage to fill the show up reasonably well.

Just as long as they don’t extend that god-awful bit where random members of the public rehash the entire series week-by-week … 😬

to be honest they don’t really suit if you get me, both great looking people but just don’t look a fit together ( not that it matters)

I’m sure Kai had a thing with a friend of maura and Amy from this year love island from what I have read
 
Absolutely gutted for AJ and Kai. I know it’s pretty much a done deal for Rose but there will always be that “what if…”. So near yet so far.
I know she’s not withdrawn yet but even if she is ok to dance she’s not going to be able to give it her all and will have had no where near the training time of R & J.
They must be devastated.
 
Sara and Amy are round at the Fletcher's now working a contemporary routine commemorating Amy's Crohns flare up and how Tom carried her to the ambulance. They are going to reattempt the Les Mis neck snap lift to represent Amy's insides gurgling away and the projectile vomit as Sara dances with a pair of emergency trousers like Colin Jackson's puppet.

Ooh they could maybe do a tribute to them to fill the time if AJ can’t dance? They could do a Moana/Olivia Newton John mash up, it could be the welcome distraction we need 😂

did they not watch ITT yesterday? she looked in genuine pain and was really upset :( i get having a favourite but you can’t ignore the actual reality of what’s happening!
 
I think AJ might just try to dance two dances in the final and not do a show dance, thereby accepting she is definitely third but not actually dropping out.

That's a good point about Camera blocking. I am sure for the sake of the final the producers are being far more accommodating behind the screens even if it isn't coming across that way right now. I suspect if she is up to training tomorrow they will give her the rehearsal time rather than all the usual Friday studio stuff.
It's promising that Kai said she can still remember the Jive from 3 months ago that suggests that she is good at picking up routines and committing them to memory.
 
IF... Aj can come back from this injury and perform on Saturday night she'll win it! Feel awful for her I wonder when they will make the final call on whether she is good to go or not?
 
I’m gutted for AJ and Kai, how disappointing for them. It would be something if Rhys was ready to step in if AJ isn’t well enough
