i'm not disagreeing or agreeing with the rest of your post but people were arguing against people saying rose jumping up and down annoyed them.
Ah was there, I’ve obviously skimmed over them. There are people in all corners who have been quite vocal about their favourites, which is human nature, but I’ve never picked up the vibe that everyone gets shut down the minute they speak about Rose. But to be honest I’m scrolling past more and more here these days so I could easy be missing things!

Agreed. And as I said, if her scan showed damage that was that bad she would have been told she couldn’t dance 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good point the scan would give a clear picture of the seriousness if it was serious there would be no ambiguity about her taking part it would be a straight no. Thank you I am feeling more hopeful now!
I suspect ITT might get it's biggest ratings of the year tonight.

Update on AJ

It sounds like her other dance might be the Jive. If Rylan hosted the press conference then it sounds like they might make it to the studio to film the interview possibly pre-recorded with Rylan rather than Jannet.

Yeah, hopefully we will hear them talk more about it later. Gutting for them, though.

If their other dance is the jive the final will be quite light on ballroom, unless Rose has a very ballroom-heavy dance card

ETA: forgot the showdance

Oh no, just seen the news about AJ! I really hope she will be ok. I don't want to be a downer but this:
I’ve hurt the ligament in my arch, and I can’t put any weight on my foot at all. So we have missed a lot of training, because I can’t stand up, I’m on crutches
does not sound good that in three days time she will be able to perform 3 high-energy dances.

That sounds bad. All she has had is Mondays training for the showdance, if she can make it to training tomorrow and they give her plenty of rehearsal time on Friday and Saturday in the studio rehearsal space she can still pull it off. However she still isn't weight baring on that foot its not looking good.

I suspect if she does dance she will have no choice to do the slower dances. The bodyguard dance would probably pack an emotional punch due to the circumstances.

Yeah, the problem is they need to be ready by Friday for camera blocking. so essentially they have tomorrow, if she is able to do anything, to run through the showdance again and two slower ones. Agree Bodyguard would work. Maybe slightly cheat and redo the rumba?

Would it make a difference to do the rumba as it's a slower dance? I imagine that technique will suffer either way, but might she cope better with it?

It was in the back of my mind that COVID might spoil the party but I didn’t even consider an injury…

Has this happened in any other series? The only contestants I can remember having to withdraw at any stage are Jade Johnson (2012, danced with Ian Waite - ligament injury after hearing her knee pop) and Will Bayley (2019, Janette’s partner, injured his leg jumping off a table/platform)

Obviously I’m hoping she doesn’t have to pull out!
